not a good idea for two reasons.

1. the fans dont even fill up the mtsu stadium so why would you move to a bigger stadium.

AND

2. it wouldnt be fair to have the state championship in east tennessee because the west tennessee fans would have to drive way to far to see their team play. it is good where it is in a big enough stadium in the middle of the state. Dont fix something that isn't broken.

Guest Oakland

yeh go ahead and tell mtsu that, it only costs a fortune to remove turf into put in somethin different, id like to see that happen, middle isnt able to freely spend their money like the other universities just keep that in mind. personally i like the turf because the game goes faster

The only thing I don't like about MTSU is the field.  I don't know about you but I think High School games should be played on grass.

I would like to see MTSU put in the new Field Turf that is being used in a lot of college & Pro teams it looks a lot like real grass and is not as bad for injuries!

I agree, the games should not be played on turf. Most kids have never played on turf before.I know its this big special thing to play on turf in Dec,but IMO it is not a good idea.As far as having the games at Neyland Stadium,I would love it since its close, but its not fair for western team to team to have to travel out to Knoxville, just likes it would not fair for eastern to have to travel out to Memphis.

I believe that the games should be played at different places every year... Knoxville, Memphis, and Nashville... I believe that everyone might like it because everyone would have to travel every year... Have it a Neyland one year, Memphis one year, and MTSU one year, rotate it every year... It would make people happy in my opinion...

    • Honestly the A.D. may be powerless at Maryville to some degree versus other schools. I know he has his hands full with GoFan and all the stupid surprises just from the emails he sends out during the season.
    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
