Even with a "not so great coach" Soddy still won more than they lost.

3-7 is one season...teams can have a down year every once in a while.  If you look at each year since he's been there, he's definately improved his winning % greatly.

 

Take Caldwell out and you've still got a 7-0 season this year.  I know people have a hard time believing this, but it's true.  If you haven't seen Williams or Hydas run the ball then you've missed out.  Caldwell is a HUGE addition to the team, but he's not the only threat Ooltewah has.  From TB, Caldwell, Hydas, Williams could all start on any team in this area.  Move Williams to TB and you've got Burke or Bishop to play FB.  Or just leave Williams at FB and run Hydas.  People that haven't seen Ooltewah play this year, have a skewed view of how versatile the Owls really are.

 

The Owls have 6 different receivers scoring TDs and 5 different RBs scoring TDs.

Soddy's so called passing game wont be a threat to the owls b/c u gotta get the pass off first...i dont think the qb will have much time to throw the ball...Ooltewah will put up points if its either williams or caldwell running or going deep to lansden who i s a very good player who doesnt get much publicity. i think he will run a punt back this game also...im lookin forward to this one

From an outside observer and one that has seen both teams play, I believe Ooltewah will win this one 28-14. SD is a good team and has alot of size but Ooltewah has speed and that will be the difference in this hard fought game. GO TRIBE!!!!

Reaction, I have TONS of faith in your Bucs. I even think they'll win a 2nd state championship in as many years!

 

As for this game, KnoxSoddy, who cares when the last time was that Soddy had a losing record??? That says nothing about either Gatewood or Weathers. LoL, you definately graduated from Soddy didn't you?

This game is a toss up. They have played a bunch of nobodies. The area teams are down and most of the region is down this year. It will come down to turnovers. If Soddy can stop the blitz and hold on to the ball i think they could take it.
