This will be one of the best games this week.  Cheatham will be ready to play after getting beat by SycamoreFairview will need to have a great week of practice.  I don't think that the crowd will be a big problem and look for the away team to have as big or bigger crowd than the home team.  Both teams will will play pretty good and I see this one won in the trenches.

Fairview: 34

Cheatham Co: 27

Well if he is from Loretto, I guess Fairview popping out over 10 yards a carry on the ground doesn't mean anything. Last time I checked Fairview has always been a physical team.

What the heck happened to Loretto in their game with Fairview last week? They looked like an offensive juggernate in the 4th quarter against Cheatham a few weeks back, then they came out and got beat by 30 by Fairview. Gerry B, I don't think that Huntingdon would beat Loretto like that. I guess that it is better for Loretto that they played that way against Fairview rather than Richland.

I will tolerate that glenfry because you have faced both teams and i havent seen cheatham play. fairview's secondary did not play well against lewis co. i kow that for a fact. that was the only way lewis scored that night was aon a secondary breakdown. good luck to lewis the rest of the way, i hope you go up to camden and beat them.

Not so fast my friend, im for cheatham 100% in this game and hopefully ill be at the game. Langley will play and will not be out of sinc. Landon jones will play and he will run as hard as anyone. I must remind you that not only does cheatham have HUGE playmakers at reciever with piper and d. thomas but a reliable weapon at te with stokes. A little fact, langley has not thrown a pic all season, hopefully the streak will continue. HOWEVER, cheathams o-line and entire defense hasnt played worth a flip the past 5 quarters or so. The cubs o line must block better and the defense MUST not miss tackles. I know coach finley is one of the toughest coaches around and he'll defenitely have the boys fired up. I know my boy clint casteel #10 (remember his name) will be ready to light the heads up. He is defenitely a stud as well as the d line. The d line will make or break the game in my opinion because when they play smart, they dominate but when they dont keep their heads they play like they did against sycamore. Also, the secondary has to step up and make plays, its time for the leaders to lead. ANother point, jones, casteel, piper, thomas and the rest of the linebackers will all return next season. We all remember how horrible the cubs played last seaosn at fairview and they have some making up to do. The team who commits the least amount of to's and plays with the most heart will win.

WOW, GERRY ..........You and I are the only soules on this thread! I am not a senior yet but I would like to take this time and thank the many people of Lewis Co. for their support of this "down year" in Lewis Co.! You Guys always stand behind us win, lose, or draw!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS!!!!!!!!

To add a bit more insight to my previouse posts I will have to say that the Cheatham Fairview game will be the most intersteing game to watch. 2 really good offenses agianst a good defense and a fair defense. Should be an interesting game.

Gerry, who is #43? I think he plays FB and DE?

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
