Riverdale, DB, Maryville and Mt Pleasant fans

Maybe Mt. P Has had a great year! Maybe they could take on THE TOP TEAM in 5A. Maybe they could beat a team that was ranked NATIONALLY at some point this season. Maybe I'll wake up soon.

 

Going undefeated is always great, and you can't take anything away from MP's season, but saying they could take out Riverdale, that's some big words, coming from anyone.

There is no way possible MP could hang with Riverdale. Now i have not seen Riverdale play, but understand they are a tough team, and with MP's defense if Riverdale threw the ball a little and got some yards it would mess with MP very badly because MP has a weak pass defense. Then Riverdale could run it and pass it the rest of the night doing whatever they wanted and score as much as they wanted. Now dont get me wrong MP is a very good team but saying they could play with and even beat Riverdale is a very stupid comment.

I have seen Riverdale, DCA, and CPA play. MP is a good team but there is no way they could beat any of these teams. That is saying that they could beat Smyrna, Goodpasture, David Lipscomb, and a lot of other good teams that RHS, DCA and CPA have played and beat. Riverdale has allowed 8 points in 8 games and have not allowed a touchdown since the first half of the Smyrna game, which was the second game of the season for them. DCA's defense also is very strong evident by their dominence of pass happy CPA. CPA will pass all over MP in the second round of the playoffs and win that game easily. MP had a hard time beating Cascade last Friday anyway, so that is a very stupid comment to say they could beat RHS.

Please let this thread die. Did anyone say Mt. Pleasant could beat Riverdale? Get serious.

 

I'm taking all bets on the Mt. Pleasant - CPA game. I think Mt. Pleasant can win that game.

 

First, the Tigers have to beat FRA. Then let's talk about the CPA game on ANOTHER THREAD, PLEASE!
