I don't know much about 1A football, but if a team like Mt. Pleasant is averaging over 50 points a game....it seems to me they would have to be favored to go aways. Are they good or benefeciaries of a weak schedule? I just hear all the acronyms from Nashville discussed from this quarter of the bracket and wonder how this team can be overlooked.

JCS outplayed USJ but lost the battle of the scoreboard. They are much better since they played DCA and have managed to become one of the top 1A teams in the state. Don't expect USJ to get past DCA, because DCA is too physical and has a better chance of going all the way this year than ever before. Plus, USJ will have to play either JCS or West Carroll in round 3, provided they don't get an upset before that (doubtful).

Are you crazy Unaka will be lucky to get past the first round because i think Coalfield will beat them by at least a td or 2. As for the state champ I'd say DCA should win it..

I dont know much about the other 1a teams out east, but i do know that the west has alot of talented teams. i play for west carroll and we know that to go far in the playoffs we have a long, hard road ahead of us. but we wil see who we see and i am lookin forward to the jcs game thats if bruceton wins?

      Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.

      Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.

      Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
