you people act surprised that goodpasture is being like that. they have been that way for years.

 

i hope tyner beats the crap out of them.  i have no real respect for either team. however i hate goodpasture witha passion.im not sure if tyner can pull if off cause they were phenomenial last year and got beat by lipscomb. hope they do but i guess we'll have to wait and find out.

It depends on your defination of recruiting. I know of at least 10 kids from football to basketball that say they they have been approched by Goodypasture folks. I guess Ron Mercer just wanted to go to a School beside the interstate.

This is America people and parents should be allowed to send their children to any school they want. The debate has gone on here for years up here between Alcoa and Maryville about who is getting whose players. If your team is good enough you will win it does not matter who plays or pays for that matter. I hear the CHOO in the back ground and the Tornados are getting ready to rumble...

Wow, you know 10 people that were approached! I hope, for Goodpasture's sake, that they said no. With the players they have now, as individual athletes (minus Turner), Goodpasture would not stand up to most public schools. On to your next intelligent point: I guess Ron Mercer just wanted to leave Goodpasture and their paychecks before he graduated too.

Who cares about who has who. Even if Goodpasture has so called "recruited" players, I do not see how they can be favored over Tyner this Friday. Matchup wise, Tyner should be considerably better at most positions. As far at the whole WR advantage, Tyner will not allow the quarterback to sit back in the pocket to have time to throw, and last year the kid had 275 yards in the first half and Goodpasture still did not win. Tyner's offense should have no problems moving the ball. I can give a flip about who recruits and who doesn't. I have been around Tyner football for about 15 years. When I went there, all of the football players went to Tyner Middle, and most of them in the same area for elementary. The majority of Tyner kids are from Tyner Middle, so the whole magnet school theory does not work. The Tyner coaches, although they do not get much credit for coaching, do an amazing jobs with what kids they have there. They develop players very well.

Just to add....... most of the kids from the Tyner Middle programs never won a game in middle school. Wayne Turner deverves a ton of credit for the conditioning and coaching he does with these kids.

ooooooo boy, the talk starts now we go get our players bla bla bla bla bla well if we go and get them why don't we call pat's dad and mom and ask them if coach martin came and talked to them or buggs,eakes,robinson,williams,or any other stand out players since we have so many but im sure thaat we do! not! but since everybody that lives in the hills knows and everything and the 2 that live in madison but im sure coach goes out and gets them or mabey that its that we are in the playoffs every year or that we have had 3 state championships since 95 maybe thats the reason we get the players and you know since we have them in every sport and not just one but besides all that this friday night will be a great game and yes our defense can stop tyner sice we are allowing only like 85 yrds a game or sumtin like that but tyner does have the athletes to beat n e body that they play but we will see this friday and yes our fans will be there

Attention: Pauladcc should be referenced before the TSSAA on all major issues of classification.

 

Pauladcc, it seems the TSSAA isn't quite as intelligent as you, seeing as how they believe Goodpasture should be in 2A. Maybe one day they will rise up to your standards, or at the very least, hire you as Head of Classifications.
