You Rockwood fans crack me up that you think Rockwood is actually going to win. ROCKWOOD IS T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E. They dont deserve to be on the same field as Alcoa. I know you will come back and say "well we are 11-1 this year," well guess what you havent played anybody worth a dang except ALCOA. And refresh my memory what was the score, i think it was 35-0? Well my point is the only good team Rockwood has played they have got killed, so this makes you garbage. Rockwood fans please stop running your mouths because you have false hope for this friday. Alcoa has basically 3 scrimmages before they play Lipscomp.

Rockwood laid down and took a whipping in week 6. Alcoa can talk the talk for now. I just wonder how much pride the Tigers have? No one is giving you a chance, "garbage"? #2="We are #1 they were #3 last time, we will do the same again 35-0". If the Tigers are going to lay down and be "garbage"....do everyone a favor and stay on the bus! But if you all are going to play against Alcoa with the same determination, attitude, and toughness that I have seen for the past 6 weeks since the Alcoa game, then I will be there no matter what! It's a 3 game season. Everyone is undefeated. Anything can happen as we saw when Catholic got beat by Notre Dame after beating them in the regular season 42-7. I believe we can win this game. I believe in our players and coaching staff. You will see a different Tiger team than you saw in week 6. Stay focused Tigers !!!! You will have a big crowd behind you Friday night. Go hard.

I agree that you gotta believe. There is a chance that Alcoa's starters could all suffer from the flu on Friday night. That would probably put the game into overtime rather than 35-0 at the half.

It will be terrific when we do not see your name on Coacht anymore, after this Friday. Rockwood will win and you will go crawling into your little hole. Why do you people keep bringing up 35-0...oh wow, stuff happens. A good point was made, what about Notre Dame and Catholic. Rockwood has nothing to lose going into this game, Alcoa has everything. See you BOYS Friday.

you sound like you should be at the world series of poker instead of talking bad about an 11-1 trashy football team. honestly i dont see how an 11-1 team can be garbage. look at these teams. alcoa 11-1, david lipscomb 11-1, milan 11-1, oak ridge 11-1, dobynns bynnet 11-1 so dont tell me or anybody else on this thread that rockwood is garbage when these teams and us are the best teams in the state still playing football.

      I grew up watching Greene Devil Football since I could walk and still close with a lot of the coaches so should know my history pretty well lol.  Everything worked out the way it should have but firmly believe McCurry would have won some State Title if he wouldn't been let go (Greeneville still runs the same D he brought here and he let Ballard run the O and stayed out of it when it came to calling plays.  Greeneville was put out in the Semi's McCurry's last year against Maryville and the next year Greeneville stayed in 4a and was State Runner up playing were they were placed for the first time by the TSSAA.). It was definitely a McCurry and Ballard show that turned everything around along with the Community buying in and revamping the weight room and field house. Since Ballard got promoted to HC every Coach after him has been within the Greeneville Coaching staff because your right, they know what it takes to win a state championship.  Ballard was a master mine on O and what i think Greeneville has lacked since he left and let some Championships or making it to the Championship slip away over the last few years

      Sounds like you know your area history well. Going back and looking the records were better than I thought but mostly still beating Upper East TN schools. Ballard sounds like he came/was promoted at the right time.    I do think it’s no coincidence that them keeping the HCs as guys who were former guys on the staff. Too many times schools want a “state championship” leveled coach from the outside but they don’t know the landscape. Promoting from within will help with less turnover and keep the program consistent.

      Looking back they had better records than I recalled against upper East TN.  But they still took off once ballard got there. And beating other good programs
