Franklin at Germantown

Spotlight game: Franklin (12-1) at Germantown (10-3). The Red Devils are the defending 5A state champions, but the Rebels would like to end that title defense a week early. If Franklin's defense can slow down Germantown's power running game, a date with either Riverdale or Oak Ridge in Murfreesboro will be waiting next Saturday.

 

Dyer's pick: Franklin 13-7.

 

Apparently my body thinks I should be up and getting ready to go to work as I have done at this time on this day for the past two years. Y'all, I will be so excited if Franklin wins tonight but even if they... well no, I firmly believe they will. Anyone have a place I can stay at next weekend?

 

Again, the keys for Franklin tonight. Dyer mentioned the first one, stop the run game of Germantown. Second one is to open up our offense because I'm not so certain a strict ground-based game will work against the Red Devils.
