After re-reading your post BigSneaky, I'm not quit sure why I merged these two threads. My bad...

Here are some things to chew on though they mean squat, really.

Franklin's Offense- 315 points / 24.23 per game

Germantown's Offense 302 points / 23.23 per game

Franklin's Defense- 164 points allowed / 12.62 per game

Germantown's Defense- 156 points allowed / 12 per game

Franklin's opponents have an overal record of 57-62. Germantown on the other hand has played an apparently much tougher schedule with an overal record of 76-50. I only included teams that were played twice once in these figures (i.e. I only couned Brentwood once for FHS).

Just by looking at points, these two teams seem very evenly matched.

Wow... did Franklin seriously only throw the ball TWICE last night? That's what the Tennessean stats have... Mikrut 2/2 for 27 yards. 45 running plays. Wow.

Also, WesVols said that Franklin was running something he called a "shot-bone" offense... a mix between the wishbone and a shotgun formation. Sounded crazy. Any details on that, guys?

    • Tough situation.  Not sure the ROI is there right now.   Might be better options that are cheaper.
    • Yeah summer ball is really fun, but a lot of coaches are trying to play several kids to get much needed reps that they are not accustomed to. I would imagine Gibson County will have lots of players playing to get much needed reps. Want to win games but got to get experience as well and the rotation will be much deeper. I will be at MTSU, UTM Bethel and others. MTSU is the one I really look forward to.
    • So who are the new additions to the staff? Serious answers only please.
    • Its always interested to see the state teams the following summer after losing or not losing seniors and getting freshman and transfers. It's almost time.
    • Maryville has Alcoa on the schedule at the right time of the season which helped last year instead of at the first of the year not knowing much. West will be hard pressed to repeat this year but next will be a different story.
