Mega-phones at basketball games

Could be like our school where they LOOK for reasons to make the students sit down. They did the newspaper thing during the opponents line up saying "stink" after the name, the administration had the nerve to ask only a couple of what was about 100 students to come to the office for a STERN warning.

i've been threatened with suspension more than once because i am a "leader" of the student section

best way to make them even more mad is barely edge around the rules that you say to where they cant touch u and you still have an awesome time

we have a pretty loud student section and last year we had the small plastic megaphones and noone really said much but this year we just stick to our voices....and if you ever have a chance to come to a culleoka game look for "the corner"....it'll prove you can be loud without using artificial noise makers

yea, i think you could get away with the little 8 inch megaphones, the last refs who told us we could not use them explanation was, if you have a huge megaphone, and are singling out an individual player, it sounds like you are right on his back

 

that is only somewhat understandable, but he told us they were artificial noise makers, i just do not understand what is artificial about a megaphone

who knows...and the players shouldnt be worrying about what the fans have to say...play your own game and focus and it shouldnt matter i only think they should take them away if someone is just being obnoxious and making a fool of themselves but unless they do that i say let them make there home court a real advantage

the book says no artificial noise makers...we got harrassed all the time last year. but really it's up to the refs and how they choose to make the call. to me the "mega-phone" is not an artificial noise maker..it's a noise enhancer..but that's me. and i feel that i am correct on this one..

Megaphones should be allowed, The TSSAA is taking the fun out of the game, it is probably cause most of the refs hear it in their ear all night cause they stink.
