Never underestimate the power of Coach DRIVER

Coach Driver was a great coach as long as Trey Pearson was there.  Before Trey and after Trey he's just an ordinary coach.

Before Trey Pearson the job Driver did at South Fulton was just win 6 district titles, 3 region titles and went to the semi-finals of the state tournament in 1998.

And he did all of that while overseeing the FFA program thumb

I'll give Driver his credit. He has his boys ready to play and they will give you a good game. But before Trey he had the MacFarland kid and couple of good athletes. So that kind of made up for Trey. But he is still a good coach like him or not.

Sure Driver has been blessed with talent over the years, but he deserves a lot of credit for developing and winning with it. That ain't near as easy as it looks to all the "experts" in the bleachers.

 

SF took the storied Marshall County, KY Marshalls(4AAAA) down to the wire last night. We may not have won a lot of games this year but the games have been exciting.

 

SF may be down the next year or two but look out when the exceptional 8th grade class get their feet wet in high school.

ummm Marshall County KY is not 4A......Kentucky does not have classes in basketball.....everyone plays everyone for a state tittle...like it should be everywhere.....just wanted to make that clear to you

Umm..I'm quite aware of Kentucky's basketball classification. Kentucky and Indiana are the only two states I'm aware of that are non classed in basketball. The Marshalls are however 4A in football; iirc Kentucky's highest classification.

 

Whatever your feelings on classification, MCHS is a much larger school than SF. We did well to hang with them like we did.

The Big RED will be just fine They roll into the PIT on Friday night where they have a winnable game against a struggling Rebel team Shot selection and avoiding turnovers will be the key ingrediants to victory in this one thumb
