I wonder if Doaks' implosion the other night against Lake Co and eventual 2 game suspension will affect his Mr. Basketball hopes???

You know the kid is a senior and he has been through just about everything a kid can go through on the road...From reading reports of the game, his actions were pretty immature....You should expect more out of your star player....Of course he is coming to Chattanooga to play next year...The other guys on the team probably won't be playing college ball anywhere....So what does it matter to him??

I still think Doaks is a Lock for Mr. Basketball Finalist. But the other night might have pushed Xavier to a solid lead for Mr. Basketball winner. Doaks has had a GREAT season, and is a fiery competitor who simply got caught up in the heat of the moment. He is still the most dominating inside player in the State in Class A bar none, and has a nice midrange and outside shot as well to compliment. Doaks is currently averaging just under 25 ppg, 12 rpg, and 4 bpg, which are amazing numbers. He is a great kid as well, who just lost his head in a hostile environment. No player in ALL of Class A can Dominate a game like Nicchaeus Doaks can, and that in and of itself will lead him to a Mr. Basketball finalist nomination...

GoMab...dont be naive! He has made plays like the other nite several times this year. He has dunked 3-4 seconds after the whistle several times (7-9) this season. He runs his mouth entirely too much for a kid who should be letting his game (and it is good) do the talking. Your dad is going to have his hands full! I for one hope his season is over with!

Brandon is a 6'3" senior for Greenfield that can play either 2 gaurd or wing forward. He's a good player. He lead his team to state last year and was a Mr.Basketball finalist. I dont think he'll be a finalist this year but he's still definitely top 10 in single A if not top 5. I dont know where he's goin to college at but im sure there are atleast some low major D1 schools after him and probably some mid major.

Doaks is talented but he could have been a force and played major college ball if he had proper coaching. From what I have seen he has not been a true leader to his teammates. But that is to be expected. Coach Cisco has allowed him to think of his self as superman. Yes he should be a go to player. But he has been very selfish all year. Now he is hoping his teamates get him another game. Peabody may make it to state this year, but that is not a good reason to keep Cisco around. I am tellin it straight. I don't usually post anything but I have had enough of Cisco and his underdeveloping ball players. Doaks is a good player who is slightly over rated. He could of been something special with a good leader. It's ashame he will never see Murfreesboro. Let's hope that he does. I am glad he went to AAU. His coach had noting to do with that. Thanks GOMAB.

Kind of a condradicting statement there. A great kid keeps his head in any environment, hostile or not.

Wescharge already said pretty much what I was going to say so there in no need to be redundant. This situation has been a long time coming. And I mean long as in 3 years.

I think the incident agianst Lake Co. put a him a little farther behind Webb. Doaks is a phenomenal player but just let his emotions get the best of him. Webb game is smoother and he doesn't show much as emotion on the court as Doaks but end the end it benifited him in this aspect. Im going with Webb for Mr. Basketball but the Skogen kid will be his closest contender following Pickett Co.'s Joe Bailey.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
