well here we go, the district finale is finally here and the winner of this game will be the OUTRIGHT district champion, so what will it be: will it be Oakland's 17th district championship, or siegel's 1st?

This game is up to Siegel...I doubt this game is close either way.....

Scenario #1....Siegel continues to give up on this season and comes within one game of elimination by blowing a 2 game district lead and bows out first round of tourney...they continue to play with no heart and dont play like they are capable of....If they continue this crap they lose by 19

Scenario #2....Siegel takes the loss to Warren County and Riverdale games as motivators and comes out proving that they aren't a team that will give up and will show that they have the heart to be district champs. If this happens and they shoot well...Siegel wins by 12

This one is up to the Siegel's players

bhsol, you really should be rooting for Oakland, b/c your boys will get the loser in the district tourney. Right now it seems you would much rather play Siegel than Oakland. I know all of us in Warren County are cheering on Siegel Friday night. We have seen how to beat them. No one wants to play Oakland on its home court in the district tourney.

This one could be a tough one to call or predict. A week ago I would have said Siegel without hesitation. But now, seems like they are either physically tired from the season or putting so much pressure on themselves that they are not mentally ready, for what ever reason. Oakland and coach King, as always, seem ready for the tournaments.

I agree...you play this game 2 weeks ago and its Siegel no questions asked...but now since "the lack and desire" isnt there as the Siegel fans call it, I have to take Oakland in this one due to the fact Siegel just isnt where they need to be...

i agree that the ball is in siegel's court, all the pressure is on them, but i dont see this game becoming a double digit for either side unless one team has to start fouling and the other makes their free throws. people say you play this game 2 weeks and siegel wins no question asked and who knows you maybe right, but Oakland is slowly putting it together. when AD scores 10-14 pts as he did last night, oakland is very very hard to beat.

logic would tell you that siegel would come out and play hard giving 110% effort, there went that theory as evidence of last night. been hearing stories of some siegel fans refusing to see another game and stuff like that, which cant be good for siegel's psyche. i hope siegel isnt relying on Oakland to have pity for them because they wont, they maybe good friends of some of the guys on our team, but our guys have played hard and deserved to be where they are at this point.

I think Oakland gets even more closer to hitting their stride and will beat a siegel team that will come out and play harder than it has all season. if you thought the 1st game was a dandy, come to siegel friday night, i got a feeling this one will be even better

If I remember correctly, and I do, it was just last week that you were lambasting posters for accusing Siegel players of lacking heart. Now, that's all I hear out of you. Can you say, "Waffle"?

last week before the riverdale game...they were playing with heart...you could tell that they cared about whether or not they won or lost....Riverdale and Warren County games they looked like the Philadelphia Eagles who tanked it during the last two games of the season. Only difference is WE HAVEN'T WON A THING YET Didn't care at all....it was disgraceful and humiliating to everyone there because we travel to games wherever they are and then they go out and do that. wouldn't be bad if they showed heart and battled to the end but they were just going through the motions and thats it.....I would stick up for Siegel as long as they play with heart and emotion.....neither was there last night.

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
