Does Cleveland want Volek?

Recommended Posts

My favorite site to read about Titans news is titanscentral.net

They have a couple of posters in the talk zone that obviously work within the Titans organization, because most of what they say becomes true. The newest rumor is that Reese and the Titans seem very willing to make a possible trade of a Volek to Cleveland, or quite possibly, a Derrick Mason, to somewhere that is desparate enough to give up a good trade (Jets, Vikings, etc.)...What's everyone's thoughts on these ideas?

I like the Mason trade for a good draft pick since he could be a salary cap casualty anyway if he doesn't take a cut so try and get something for him plus it makes since if they plan on possibly taking Mike Williams with a first round pick. thumb Plus if McNair decides not comeback Drew Bledsoe is available as insurance and I still think the Chargers have to do something with the Drew Brees & Philip Rivers deal do they get rid of Brees or last years #1 draft pick?

I believe that I heard that Drew Brees has been stamped with the franchise tag for this year. He had an incredible year, and if he has a repeat performance this year, I see him being the one who stays, with Rivers being the one traded.

Bledsoe would be GREAT insurance for someone. Maybe Parcells would be interested?

Get rid of McNair and you will have plenty of room to move under the cap.

This year, McNair as a money issue, isn't gonna be a problem. Now.... next year, when he is due that big bonus, is another story. That's why we need to go ahead and at least be getting ready to look for a QB of the future.

Yeah, I heard McNair's cap number for the '06 season is astronomical, like around 50 million because of all of the restructuring. Tennessean is reporting that the Titans will release Mason ( along with Miller, Nedney, Rolle, Holcombe, and Carter ). It's a shame the Titans couldn't get any value for these guys, especially Mason and or Rolle.

    • I have no issues with the Karns Middle School program.   Good coaches and he's with the kids he goes to school with.  He's a rising 6th grader who had to play with 6th grade kids last year because Karns didn't have enough kids for a 5th grade age team.  He's in a good place at this point.   My daughter is a single mom with 4 kids under 11 years old.  We help her out with logistics, so staying in our own area right now is important.  Once he gets to high school age, who knows what happens?  That bridge will be crossed when we get there.
    • I know he was a backup but I thought he filled in well when the starter went down. Never a bad thing to have a change of pace back
    • That would be a good get for them. Lowe always finds a way. Pretty sure they have their Rb from last year returning but not that line of beef
    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
