I get a big laugh out of all the A-E and E. Tenn. people talking about "gaining respect." .... If you've made the state tournament and still haven't gotten any respect, it's probably because you don't deserve it. .... And, if you need to get your motivation from a fans' message board, then you're already beaten. Good luck, though.

What's funny, you're mistaking us fans as players. Now when I say they're going to the state to gain respect that's saying that they're going to open some eyes. If you read most of these post on here you'll see that everyone is looking past this AE team, they're looking at the championship game. Just remember one thing!!!

Well, I hope your A-E team gets its respect. .... But, I really don't think that's what they're looking for. .... Seems to me that the "no respect" posts on here are done so for motivational purposes only You know, the "Hey, girls, nobody across the state is respecting you. go out and make'em respect you." ... I've always felt that was a bogus and, frankly, idiotic method of motivation.

I guarantee you the Lady Rebels are not overlooking anyone...They got those RoadRunners right in the cross-hairs...Matter of fact I don't imagine they know anyone else is there at MTSU...Austin East...only Austin East...The Lady Rebels need no respect..Respect them or don't respect them,take your pick...They just want a win.... thumb

You west tenn FANS have been talking so much lately that you have talked in circles.Who are you trying to motivate?Lets just pull FOR our team and stop trying to see who can DOWNGRADE the other.Good luck and my we have a good hardfought , injury free basketball game.

All of this talk of respect and no respect seems abit odd to me. Hey AE...anyone with half a brain will have respect for a team that is 31-4 and in the State tournament. As for the Lady Rebels, being a fan and former radio voice of the team, I must say I could not be more proud of a HARD WORKING group of young ladies, who have fought thru injuries and other issues to make the 'boro. This should be a good opening round game, between two good teams. I know much of Obion Co will be in Middle Tenn. tonight, and many are planning to stick around for the week-end. Hey Lady Rebs....it's time....bring it home.

 

GO LADY REBELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems that the Lady Roadrunners are not nervous at all about their game tonight with the Lady Rebels (quotes from the Knox News website). That makes it all the better. Confidence is good but be careful! The Lady Rebs played a team (Hillcrest) that mirrors you and beat them on their home court. Rather less than adequate conditions, too. I am sure the lighting will be much better at the Murph'. Go Lady Rebs!!!!! thumb

      Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.

      They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.

      Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.

      I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
