Gordonsville 2013

Just got back from the Gordonsville/Livingston scrimmage starters went 2-2 again. But I feel better about this one. Gordonsville was the clear cut winner. The two scores came from breakdowns in the secondary. The offensive line looked much improved today. They looked calm and like they had been there before. No jitters. Cason busted a run right up the centers butt for the first score. Trucking 3 secondary guys and running 50 yards on the way. Secondary looked weak again. Run defense between the tackle was very solid for Gville. Outside the tackles it was average. Those suspensions might have hurt LA but Gville won the battle of the trenches. Noticed 3 Upperman coaches on there way out of the scrimmage also. QB play didn't improve that much. Neither did the play calling. Passing the ball too much for my taste but I guess I'm just old school. The season is about here. I'm ready for it

That sounds about like I expected.

I'm doing well, the doctors have me off my feet again and taking 6 weeks of IV antibiotics at home. It will all be better with time. Thanks for the concern.

Hope you get better real quick - can't have you at home during football season. Seriously, take care and hope to see out and going strong.

I realized it last night that due to my medicine schedule, I'll have to miss the first 4 or 5 games.

Get well soon Croz! Gville has a scrimmage at Cascade tommorow. I won't be able to make it but I hope someone from Cascade will be able to tell how it went. Found out today that our starting left guard that got hurt on the 1st series of the Dekalb scrimmage will be out till at least Week 3. I hope his backup can step up. Also found out that our starting left tackle in the spring quit about a week ago. He missed a week of fall practice on vacation and he didn't start anymore so I guess he saw the writing on the wall. But still a good player because we are so thin up front.

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
