I know our boys have an off week and it will give Grider a chance to practice some new tricks. I garuntee you he aint gonna tell powerp his new tricks cause he will tell these Jasperlites and they will tell that Mathis man. Our boys will have to nock some holes for our runners to run through. You think im joking but im not.

Old pirate let me ask you a question. Are you gonna be back from that fishing trip when Grider plays that Mathis man? I garuntee you we can send pegleg down in the plane to pick you up. I garuntee you that Grider will have some knew tricks up his sleeve for this Mathis man like he did the SOS last year. You think im joking but im not.

Too early for this thread. MC has a tough challenge this week so the focus should be on that right now. But since you guys are off come on down and scout.

I garuntee you are full of mess. Griders next game is this Mathis man. He will have two weeks to practice some knew tricks. I just left Ronnies red eye and that man said our boys were going to lift weights real hard for two weeks so they would be real strong for that Mathis mans team. I garuntee you Grider will be watching for that Mathis man peeping around like the SOS was caught doing trying to learn Griders tricks. You think im joking but im not.

Roy, Old Pirate is full of IHOP and ready to hit the turnpike. Cousin Lester is driving, OP guarantees it is safer riding with him than flying with Pegleg! Coacht fellers knows OP is a self confessed skillet head but ain't a nary bit dumb. Least ways us fellers can stop and get relief, can't stop or hang it out at 5000 ft! Figure jest the very dumb fly with Pegleg. Recon us old pirate's would love to see the single wing against the kinfolkes. Edited by OLD PIRATE

Two weeks to prepare for a big game always makes me nervous.  Too many times a team can over-prepare when it has two weeks.  MC used a lot of weapons last night against Grundy.  MC has had two big wins over mediocre teams.  We lost a game we should have won, but had a big win of our own over Bledsoe.  MC now has to face a good Meigs team, and we get a week off.  We have home field advantage.  Who knows.....

You should have lost week 1 because you scored less points.

Old Pirate says you Dumlap fellers ain't even got enough interest to have a thread on the 3A board! So far you barely beat a very small 1a team and Whitwell. Imagine the lack of interest when you fellers start playing in yous classification. LOPAO....recon SP would love to play SC again, doubt that it is mutual

    • The Girls Basketball team I am a part of played for a gold ball this season. One of the biggest differences in the sports is that there is no field prep/maintenance in basketball.   Our baseball is successful and play 30 games in the regular season as well. All of the teams dedicate A LOT of time in preparing for their next opponent.
    • “facts” or better yet ‘opinions’ had been up for weeks/months. that’s not why the thread was deleted. get over yourself.
    • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say they have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
    • Crazy how the thread just gets deleted when facts come out.
    • I understand I guess it depends on the school you are with and the time you want to put in.  It’s evident of the schools that don’t put in as much times.  I would say basketball players put in as much time as any sport in our school system and this is coming from a football town.  Bball is a longer season than other sports.
