  1. Greenbrier can make a run. They match up well. Gibbs will be tough to beat to make the finals. But, they match up well. Only time will tell. Hope we all have a healthy tournament. Good luck to all.

  2. Sycamore just can't seem to get over the hump this year, they have plenty of talent. Maybe next years the year if they don't do anything in the tourney. Will be returning nearly their whole team. The three seniors on the team are average but the juniors could be really good next year if they play up to potential.

  3. Cumberland County's Gracee Dishman has my vote but Taylor Lamb and Akira Levy are definitely deserving too. Dishman is the state's leading scorer in all classes (31.8 PPG) and her team is 20-1. Played a tough non-district schedule too. Only loss game in a game she was out.

  4. Yea.....that's pretty impressive. She could very well hit 3,000 points for her career.

  5. I seen Gracee Dishman play against Shutes beginning of season and she scored 44 points on her and her team. Cumberland County is 21-1 and she was out that lost and they have played 2nd hardest schedule in state according to coach T. She stays healthy she will go over 2000 points this season and shes just a junior. I seen her play against number 1 in the state clarkrange and was double teamed and boxed whole game and had 34 points and never got but two shots off from the outside. I thank miss basketball should go to the girl with the best stats that year and the best season as a team. This is the first year as a 2AA player unlike the rest of the candidates she was in 3AAA the last two years and averaged 24 a game last year and was player of the year in her district and played riverdale in substate game two years in a row and averaged 28 against them. Theres not even a boy in the state averaging 32 a game right now like shes doing and when has there been a girl average 32 likes shes doin right now and if she keeps doing it she will go over 3000 points in her career. I really think she should be nominated for miss basketball with these stats.

  6. Get out of West Tn and come over to District 7A. There are several players over here that are equally as good one or two maybe better.

  7. The point I've made for the past two years. And don't take this as a personal attack, but it seems to me that the pollsters are not necessarily the most knowledgeable about wrestling in Tennessee but many are in the good ole boy network. I understand that one person cannot follow every team in the state but if you are taking the responsibility of being on the poll, I feel that you should at least know the front runners--some of the talk last night regarding the A/AA teams was JV level. Teams like Greenbrier and Nolensville are overlooked because they don't have a history. Yet there is always the LEGACY Vote (there it is again, you made me do it!) for Bradley Central and McCallie. Am I saying either of them beat BC, no but many of your pollsters wouldn't seem to know if they had the ability to do so! And lastly, I enjoy the show, but Price...my man...how many times are you going to tell us the story that you started these kids at the middle school. We get it, you built the team, but the show is Tennessee Wrestling Talk, not Science Hill Wrestling Talk. Bosken, can you bring on some coaches from the other half of the state, maybe even from the West? I would love to hear a perspective that is not East Tennessee slanted. Just a suggestion for improvement. Keep up the good work.

  10. Point taken. I'll take the hit on that one for assuming that all my voters knew what happened Friday night. That's my fault. The people who knew voted accordingly. It's on me for being presumptuous. No excuse for it. Baylor did move up, and McCallie dropped, so that was reflected. And you're right. It will sort itself out this weekend. I apologize for not doing a better job of getting info out to my voters.

  11. Buford rolls to Area 8-AAAAA wrestling title From Staff Reports Buford poses for a team photo after winning the state title for Class AAAAA. (Photo: David McGregor) Buford dominated the Area 8-AAAAA Championships on Saturday, sending all 14 wrestlers to sectionals for the second straight year. The Wolves, already this year’s State Duals champions, got individual area titles from Nick Cambria, Logan Ashton, Kyle McCullough, Nick Stonecheck, Blaine Bergey, Charlie Darracott, Cooper Roberts, Tristan Bozoian, Billy Barber and John Downing. Alcein Mendoza, Jose Bravo and Quentin Skinner had second-place finishes, and Dylan Bozoian placed fourth. http://www.gwinnettprepsports.com/schools/buford/buford-rolls-to-area--aaaaa-wrestling-title/article_fb610c4e-04a0-11e8-9c0a-17b7e655e156.html

  13. Yes it is. TNAAU has done a great job building the talent base for the high school teams around the state.

  15. Waiting for the Clarkrange folks to chime in. The gold ball is all but decided between them and Pickett Co. Better tell the West TN folks to not even bother crossing the river....
