  1. I agree Sequatchie - CoachT is defintely well worth the little bit of money we pay for the pleasure to use this site, but I do understand EastRidge's problem. Now, I don't know if EastRidge is an adult or not, but to a young person it could be difficult to come up with the money - most kids don't have checking accounts or charge cards to pay for it - I do understand that some kids feel that way. However, I agree, as previously stated, that there should be a Plus part of CoachT. We get what we pay for. Look how nice this board looks. Look at the benefits. It is well worth it to me. I LOVE COACHT PLUS!!
  2. You are right. With a middle school wrestling program that will put you years ahead of other schools as far as talent goes. Congratulations.
  3. Don't you just love it? Opinions are like "elbows", we all have them. Seems like some folks agree with me on MY OPINION on certain wrestlers. What makes it fun is in seeing how the season turns out. I look forward to it.
  4. Hey, I have an opinion on this - First, let me say that I think it would be one heck of a match to match up the "state champs" of Div I and II. That would definitely worth seeing. Anyway, here goes my picks (assuming everyone is at the weight class mentioned): 103 - Whit Dunning 112 - Jimmy Hiller 119 - Shawn Cordell 125 - toss-up really, but I will go William Simpson 130 - Cody Cleveland 135 - Jordan Leen 140 - Hmmm, not sure on this one but let's say Jesse Baker 145 - Bond Davis 152 - Max Gessler 160 - Quinn Gibson 171 - Not really impressed with either of these but will pick Kyle Adams 189 - Michael Marable 215 - Matt Bailey - although I ain't convinced 275 - Bashara Robinson - but I ain't convinced on this one either. Well, those are my picks. Who are yours?
  5. You are right, BOTW, Clarksville did lose quite a few wrestlers. I'm not that familiar with Cleveland's loss to graduation, but am confident that they will be able to reload. You are also right about Franklin, so how about swapping Franklin and Science Hill?
  6. There is no particular science to this thing - just speculation at this point in the game. 1. Bradley 2. Soddy Daisy 3. Cleveland 4. Clarksville 5. Collierville 6. Science Hill 7. Overton 8. Kenwood 9. Franklin 10. ??? - gotta think on that one
  7. I can't believe that you would just jump to conclusions such as that based on a post asking a question about those two guys. Why do people have to try to second-guess other people, I will never know. Come on, don't try to make something negative out of a simple statement.
  8. I went and was really pleased with Northwest High, as well as others. Their coach has done a fine job with his team. They are strong and quick.
  9. Well, from what I've seen of Smyrna in the past, they have always had awesome light weights. I think they will be a surprising team this year.
  10. That is pretty AWESOME!! That is also a great example to his wrestlers. Congratulations Coach Price. Way to Go!!
  11. This is all so cooool! I am so proud of our Tennessee guys who are scattered around the country. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK BOYS. YOU REPRESENT TENNESSEE WELL!! We are cheering for you.

Surely you guys have heard of people improving over time. Come on folks, anything is possible! :justwrestle:
  13. Birch, you're joking, right?? Northwest is really coming along and I think they will be just as serious a contender as anyone else in Region 7.
  14. Hmmm, I want to say GO NORTHWEST, but it bothers me that people are talking about the coach in such a negative way. Sorry that I didn't hear what he had to say, I guess I'm glad I didn't. Anyway folks, let's support the kids, that's what it is about, not someone who toots his own horn so, don't be down on the kids because of the action of the adults. For some kids, this is their last year to play. I hope it is a memorable one in a good way!
  15. Running is nice, but that doesn't win championships. Yes, I do know that it builds endurance when the other guys are running out of gas.
  16. Hey - I must say that Johnny Masters of Kenwood is no slouch when it comes to putting together a team. He will definitely be a tough contender this year.
  17. Yep, from what I hear Northwest is stacking up quite nicely this year. Give Johnny Masters his due: He always finds a way to load up his team year-after-year. Montgomery Central: Wasn't that guy named Luke Sanders? (just guessing, here, not sure). Northeast - not too sure about their team, and Rossview - well, I think they could have some pretty tough guys there, we'll see. Clarksville: yep, they lost quite a few, but they could come back. We will just have to wait and see what is coming on down the road. It will be fun, I am sure!
  18. tdArtist - there is always a point in discussing something, otherwise, why would we be on here? I think there are a few guys from last year that made it to state who will move on up in the ranks this year. Sure, all the placers are gone, but there are still some out there that could improve and be just as good as the ones who are graduated.
  19. Ooletwah? I don't know about that. Individually there may be some pretty strong guys, but as a team, I haven't heard much about them. But hey! There are surprises out there year-after-year!!
  20. That was a nice post. I think the coaches get recognition when things are going great & get blamed for everything else. I don't know Matt Otto, but he sounds like a caring coach.
  21. I agree, 103 and HWT are going to be weakest. Seems most everyone else falls in between. Guys in 103 rarely stay at that weight class year in & year out, that is why I say they will be weak. Seems that class is usually filled with freshmen/ sophmores. For the heavyweights, I think they lost most all of their guys that placed, with a few returning, I mean, what's the chance that they are going to go down in weight? So, that is why I say these two classes.
  22. I'm hoping you aren't putting those teams in order that you think they will place, because that is laughable! There are several teams that will place way higher than that. Other than the placing you have, those choices seem pretty good to me. Maybe one or two replacements, but overall, OK.
  23. I thought he was going to some college to play football.
  24. Overton is coming back! (I just really wish that they would LEAVE THE ROBES AT HOME!) East Ridge looks pretty strong. I remember Red Bank as being a strong force but have not been so impressed with them as a team lately. I really don't think of Brentwood as a threat. I think that the ones we really need to be looking at would be OF COURSE, Bradley & Soddy Daisy. Soddy has especially improved over the past few years.
