  1. Falconstatman, what was the number of the DC QB?
  2. Not trying to take anything away from Northeast but that was possibly Dickson's worst performance all year(save the Indy game) and they still won 28-0.
  3. I expect DC to be fighting it out for the 4th playoff spot this year. If they get some lucky breaks, they could maybe slip up to third.
  4. Dickson County a toss up against NE? Tell me what makes you believe this.
  5. UT has had one losing season in about 25 years, not much of a difference. I also wasn't just referencing the fact that they are playing in the Music City Bowl. In case you haven't seen it all over tv, they have over 20 players ineligible for the game because of cheating.
  6. He's going to FSU, I guess you haven't seen whats been going on with them for the past few years ( See Music City Bowl ). I hope he does great at FSU and gets to the league, I really wished Tennessee would have pursued him harder.
  7. This tells me all I need to know about your football knowledge. Surely you jest, right?
  8. Dickson Co. connecting to Dickson Co. for the west's only TD. Primm is going to be a great bball player at UNC-Ash and Bell will make an impact wherever he goes.
  9. Along with John Primm, Steadman Bell from Dickson County will be playing in the game tomorrow.
  10. someone told me Primm got MVP but maybe it was Offensive Player of the Year.
  11. lol I thought that would get someones response. Yes you did win this year but that was DC's first game in three weeks. It had been three weeks since they scrimaged Lincoln Co and HC was coming off of that warmup against Northwest. DC jumped out to an early 14-0 lead and then HC was able to make the comeback because DC was feeling the effects of playing for the first time. With all this being said, if I had to make a prediction right now I would say the barrel stays in Paris next year.
  12. 1. Smyrna 2. Maryville 3. Alcoa 4. Independence 5. Maplewood 6. Goodpasture 7. David Lipscomb 8. Fulton 9. S. Pitt 10. McKenzie I've seen Indy and Maplewood play this year and Indy is much better. If Maplewood has any depth, they could have easily beaten Maryville. Concerning the entire state I would say: 1. MBA 2. Smyrna 3. BA 4. Maryville 5. Alcoa BA beat Smyrna 17-13 earlier in the year but that was without Sonny Gray for the entire second half.
  13. 2005 Ravenwood over Oak Ridge. This year the east was vastly superior to the west bracket but its not like that every year and to get on here saying that the bracket should be changed because of last night is completely asinine.
  14. yes there were other teams in the east TN that could have won it this year, I have said the east was much stronger this year. It might be stronger in the east every year but I don't think there is a big enough gap to make any changes. There were teams last year who would have given Smyrna a much tougher game who were knocked out early, these teams were knocked out because the west side of the bracket is much tougher than you think it is. The region 5 vs. region 6 games are usually tough, close ball games. I've seen some through the years that were very hard hitting ball games which is what leads to injuries, etc. I have more points I could make as I'm sure you could too, but I'm going to agree to disagree and go to bed. Oh, and I can't wait to see Rod Wilks in orange. Hopefully UT goes ahead and offers Bryson soon too.
  15. You mention Region 5 being weak but Region 3 is by far the weakest Region in the state. Region 4 dominates that bracket with ease every year and Region 5 would do the same. Also, last year region 5 had 3 teams advance past the first round. Dickson Co. and Franklin were better then any team region 3 fielded last year and they were both put out by region 5 teams. So what is your point about Region 6 being able to advance past a memphis area team? In the past seven years there as been as many region 1-2 schools advance to state as there has been region 7-8 teams advance, one. The only difference, the east TN team won while the west team lost This year the east bracket was definately tougher but on a yearly basis I think they are pretty even.
  16. I agree that the east was much tougher this year but have to disagree that its always that way.
  17. Since Hoover is going through all those recruiting violations and their coach was recently fired, I don't think using Hoover is a good way to support your arguement. I'm not saying those teams recruit, that's just not a good example to use.
  18. According to the Tennessean only 3 mid-state players won the award last year, so I think that should put to rest the middle TN bias accusations.
  19. Berry was commited before the AA game. We did bring in a couple of other big names though, ie Chris Donald and Ben Martin.
  20. I hope Gones and Moore do great things at UT but O'Neal is looking more and more like a bust every day. Just because he is track speed fast doesn't mean he is more talented. Do you remember Leonard Scott at UT? This isn't even close to the best WR corp UT has had but they have been a pleasant suprise for this year. Taylor is statistacally having one of the best seasons in the SEC this year.
  21. Tennessee's recruiting class will be fine. It won't be near the level of last years, but no reasonable fan thought it would be. Tennessee always finishes strong after the season when it comes to recruiting. Also, if UT thinks this guy is good enough for an offer than I will happy to get him if he decides to come to UT.
  22. Burns is a great place to live with just around 1,500 people and virtually no crime whatsoever. The kids in Burns go to Dickson County which is a 5-a school so you can get the small town life and your kids can go to a 5-a school. Also, DC plays in one of the best regions in the state. By the way, Dickson only has about 12,000 people.
  23. Because he had a bad game against a great team he's no good? By the way, I skipped over the 8 yards comment so my bad. I know his stats for this season are 49 Rec. 550 Yards 3 TD's. Not to shabby for a guy who didn't deserve a scholarship offer. Like i said, Rogers has had some drops but he has been very crucial on key plays.
