I think they would move to an abbreviated regular season, playing district games a priority. So say the largest district in the state has 7 teams (idk largest district), every team in the state would play 6 games. If your district only has 5 teams, then you would be allowed to pickup 2 non district games. Still take top four, playoffs go as normal. I’m just hoping we have football season

It’s obviously shut down now, but did the new coach make it in before the shutdown? How’d the workouts go? I assume the same philosophy stayed in the weight room since most or all assistants stayed

Coach signing a contract would have nothing to do with eligibility of his son at the current school. So theoretically he could finish his sr year at LC

I agree Div 1 player does not mean they are a good coach, but most college football & NFL coaching staffs are former Div 1 players. They usually have the knowledge and techniques, but can’t always transfer those skills. I think the other two came in with the previous staff and I would assume they are staying. Time will tell if their coaching skills are on par with their playing skills.

There’s actually 3 coaches who played for Simpson on staff. Not sure how much influence he has with hiring, but hiring Div 1 football players is not a bad idea.

Interesting hire. Should be a good fit for QB, which should make the offense even more productive. Hopefully the defense will improve & they will be a fun team to watch
