and 10AAA with Dickson Co beating all the Clarksville schools to be a home seed in 6A and this year Rossview will be the same. The system is TERRIBLE and only 5A likes it!!!!!

BA goes into UNA to get the players and Ensworth robs everyone but mainly us in Rutherford County. I would say the school system there does hurt BGA. I doubt Ensworth cares about many kids from Williamson County unless they are bringing their checkbook

That is because the T$$AA will not acknowledge that "work studies" is FINANCIAL HELP! CPA recruits and PAYS the money better than all of them. Oh sorry, I am not suppose to say that since they are standing behind their church and good will to people. We will all pray together (which is a good thing) but not when we say come pray with us if you can play basketball.

The t$$aa will do whatever is the most $$$$$$$$$$$$$ for them! What happened to the thoughts of splitting true private league and public league? The Goodpasture's, Friendships, and CPA's of the world need to play with their own kind that are giving aide! Yes, work study is aide. Let's see we have private schools that give aide and are allowed to compete with public schools. We have more state champions then we have trophies! We have recruiting going on everywhere and they DO NOTHING! And yes OPEN ENROLLMENT Schools should be made to report every student that goes to that school out of zone and the findings should be shown to everyone the percentage of student athletes to just students. No reason to even talk about it.

YES, Go back to 5 and playoffs the way they used to be. Do not give me this travel excuse. Let's see most football teams play 5 home games and 5 away. Basketball is allowed 12-15 away games and most of them travel to who knows where for Thanksgiving and Christmas Tournaments. Baseball/Softball same thing double the amount of away games and many of them are now traveling to tournaments. This is all for the T$$AA to make more money off of the football playoffs and one more class means more $$$$$$ for the greedy T$$AA. Scheduling is now a nightmare for 6A teams in small districts. Oh and in most other sports ALL teams make playoffs so there is more travel for the teams that were at bottom of district. It is not about Travel it is about the T$$AA. The other sports will actually put more miles on a bus during season, they just might not do it for one game. (would be very interesting to see though)

I know this will get shut down quick but man it is the truth!

I am a football coach in Rutherford County so first off I understand private schools coming in with their busses and driving kids to their respective schools. I have a son and it sounds like I would really like Coach Maddux and him coaching my son. With that being said, lets tell it like it is. Read the paper the kids tell you in the quotes that the R word is going on and Coach Maddux uses it to his benefit. Is this fair, yes, but easy for him to say he is going to give some kids dad a job when a public school would have to give him a job pushing a broom (unless he was a teacher by state rules). Now I know this will open can of worms but read the quotes again and you tell me. Influence?? I think so! " I visited (CPA) last year because I found out my dad was possibly going to get the job here." "“I’ve played for him since I was 9 years old, playing travel ball" " Thomas and I being best friends since we were little. (Thomas, Braxton and I) played on the same AAU team for Coach Drew" “I had a relationship with Coach Maddux through workouts (private lessons)"

I heard they were interviewing tomorrow and next week. Anyone else hear this too?

Good list. I am pretty sure that this is why Mark left Smyrna for a shot at this job when it opened. Should be a great job for someone.

Maybe when school starts we will hear more about these jobs and who is in the running.

I just don't get it. Is Clayton out at Franklin and he wants to go to Hillsboro? Or does he just want to go to Hillsboro? What is the deal? I do not think he will waltz right in to Hillsboro and win like Blade did. Clayton needs a QB to throw the ball and not sure Hillsboro has that right now. He would have some good athletes at Hillsboro, but after seeing two games last year against Franklin there is no way he could stand on a sideline and run the ball 70-80% of the time. It is not in his coaching style.

Any new word on this job? What is the time line?

I have decided to agree with many of the others on this site. YOU ARE NOT VERY SMART or a kid that does not get to play. although I will agree with one thing. I don't think Brentwood has the offense to keep up with you guys. Your QB made some great throws against us last week and if he plays well again tonight Brentwood has very little chance.

Yeah other than Riverdale (and they were first so they deserve it) Siegel got the best draw of all the Rutherfords. They have the easiest path to second round. Good luck to Siegel and all 7AAA
