That’s wild. Dyersburg has 300 more kids than Huntingdon. If Huntingdon had 5 less they would be in 1a. 2a is tough.

Big win by Huntingdon Fillies over Westview tonight. 61-57. Westview can still shoot lights out. They had trouble handling Huntingdon down low.

I’ve known him for years and he knows me. I didn’t say I have met him once. I said “meet”him once and you will know. Maybe reading comprehension isn’t your thing.

It’s good to play against quality teams like Cookeville. It will benefit them down the stretch. Good luck to y’all going forward.

97. The coach played everyone. All the way down to the 6th graders. Henry scored 2 points the first game and 0 the second. Should HMS players just laid down on the court?

The first half was a really good ball game. Cookeville out rebounded the Fillies by a lot in the second. You can’t give a good team 3 or 4 shots a possession. The commentator said that the refs adjusted to the way Cookeville was playing defense. I thought that was a odd comment.

He’s only had a hand full the last 2 state runs also. 8 or 9. That’s still no excuse to run the score up on lesser talented teams. A 25 point win is as good as a 40 point win. He don’t mind doing that. He’s had the luxury of having really good athletes and some of that is because he has developed them. It’s no doubt that he is a really good coach. You don’t take multiple boys and girls teams to state(at the same time) without being a good coach.

She is a special player and I won’t take anything away from her amazing shooting night. To your question… have you ever met McKenzies coach? Meet him once and you’ll know.

Only defense any coaches from Obion Co can coach is box and 1 and 2/3 zone.

If you look at the losses over the last 10 or even 15 years the majority of the teams that have defeated Huntingdon have gone on to win or play in the Championship. Some losses were by a TD or less. The only 2 losses Huntingdon had this season, both teams played for the gold.

What is a forward pass? Great season. They were a fun group to watch.

Another thing about Huntingdon football is that these kids are homegrown. As far back as I can remember. You can look back at pictures of these kids from youth league and they are there, wearing blue and gold. Running up and down the isles of the stadium and on the hillside wearing jerseys of their favorite players on the field from the time they can walk.

Same here, buddy. I feel lucky to get to watch these boys year in and year out. Not many schools or communities or kids that get to experience what we get to here. I think we will get some gold in the case in the next few years. Maybe in a few different sports.

I don’t see that being the case. The coaching adjustments, yes. I couldn’t agree more. But the athletes coming through in this years freshman class, especially linemen, is going to be special. Defensively there are some sophomore kids that really get after the ball. Not to mention some kids that are hard nosed, especially in the backfield, in the upcoming freshman class. I think Huntingdon has 3 or 4 special years ahead.
