I believe it was after watching Oakland Demolish that MS team on ESPN that Jones got cold Feet , or maybe watching some Trenton highlights…Who knows he’s gone and they are going to have to change some stuff up. They may have the skill players but they did last year too, some of the best single A kids i ever watched play in Stone and Frame. I doubt they have replaced them.

This just goes to show you polls are a joke and just an opinion to get people talking. I understand you can’t travel and watch every game on Friday night especially to a single A school. But I still find it funny after looking at the scores that’s how they ranked them.

Maybe this new coach will utilize the talent better…. Good luck though no one in Middle TN will or should be within 21 points of you guys, Gordy and Clay County are all that’s left to even compete after Monterey and Jackson Co. moved up classes.

Football is 6a, I’m not sure of their new district or region in Basketball but I’m sure it’s gonna be 4a.

More of a Football School recently they have been dominating people, but 2 years ago they went 19-8 then 5-17 last year.... however, the school Has always had good athletes. It’s like anywhere else you have to get the kids to buy into the program and build it from the ground up, starting with getting kids to want to play basketball and not be on a subpar team that might win 10 games.

As should be for the kids sake, but it doesn’t change anything still in SCS if they wanted out last year they could have went to a school system that was playing. A bunch of the better caliber athletes did that or went to a place like MAHS that was still playing. The thing that gets me is what about the kids that couldn’t afford to move or didn’t get any financial help from school administrators or boosters. Those kids just missed a year they won’t get back and this rule he’s talking about is only going to apply to the minority of athletes in Memphis.

They already could transfer without penalty! Why is it going to be any different now? Look what happened in Germantown this year or Wiseman from East... from here on out it will just be about which coach has better AAU ties or which one can do a better job recruiting the talent in Shelby County. Memphis is always going to be the epitome of talent in the state, but as long as they can pick and choose who is on their rosters especially in single and double A it will never be fair to the other teams trying to pick from a couple feeder schools.

Clay county loses a bunch of ball handling, leadership, and shooting at the guard position. It will be hard to replace those things, however as long as they get the ball into the post they should be a pretty tough out in single A. Their post play will only get better in the coming years especially after getting the experience they did this year. The key for them is to keep playing tough schedules to develop talent. Good thing is the Upper Cumberland is full of solid teams year in and year out.

Crange will reload some, Lamar has a grand daughter that will be a freshman next season so you can count on him to coach them up the next 4 years, I don’t see them being competitive for at least a couple of years unless they get a big time transfer though.

All we can do is hope and pray the officiating is better today than it has been! If not hopefully it will be at least more consistent for the players sake!
