  1. THE WEBSITE THAT I LISTED IS INCORRECT... CORRECT WEBSITE IS tnfca.org
  2. TnFCA has a clinic virtually on a weekly basis. Every Thursday from 6:30 - 8:00pm, Central time, January 21, 28, February 4, 11, 18, March 4. You must be a member of TnFCA to be able to log in. Membership is $15 per coach, $100 per staff no matter the size. Check our website...tnfca.net
  3. Don't know exactly how long it has been like this but I know for sure since fall 1991. Guess why this is the way they do it in Ga? So they don't run short of umpires for softball and baseball playing at the same time...old saying...MTMS!
  4. There were 100+/- that wanted to initially play flag football wound up with 70ish. Had 2 classes, one of which were schools from A private, A public, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A. The other class were 6A & 7A schools. They thin next year it will be over 100 to actually compete. Games were at Georgia State's field and will be there next year. Price for Mercedes-Benz Stadium was over $700,000 for the games. Tennessee has 350ish schools playing tackle football and 9 state champions. JMHO, that's way too many. 4 public, 2 private is plenty. That would eliminate most teams with losing records and for sure eliminates 1-9, 0-10 teams from being in playoffs.
  5. I think Georgia is ahead in their thinking than most states. 8 champions for football + 2 flag championship and I believe they have over 400 schools playing tackle football. Will have to check with my source to see how many flag teams there are.
  6. I believe tickets were $20 per day. The reason they are not playing indoors where the Falcons play, was the cost of rent for 3 days. They have 9 championship games just like Tennessee. They play 2 flag games, 12 noon and 1:30, prior to the normal A private and A public games that are played at 3:30 and 7.
  7. Maybe they should have pleaded and begged to join Montgomery Co Schools

I heard RB was going to Webb.
  9. Love the 4 & 2 concept on classes but have 3 games each on Friday and Saturday. And as long as privates don't have to play the week before the championship games, they always play on Friday, game 1 & 2.
  10. Might be wrong but I think the only way 8th graders can work out with HS is if the school is 8-12 grades and 1 Head of Schools or Principal. I know that is how 8th graders can be eligible for HS sports.
  11. Would love to see Craig Salley have this opportunity, if that is what he wants. One of the most intense players I have ever seen.
  12. Why would they pull DCHS all the way through Nashville to that region?
  13. Congrats to all D-II schools competing for a State Championship today in Cookeville. You managed not only to earn the right to play today through your accomplishments on the field but have managed to survive the most devastating events off the field named Coronavirus. There are many teams that wish they had the same opportunity you have today. All 6 teams are winners for advancing to this point. But 3 teams will carry a Gold Ball home, 3 will carry a Silver Ball home but all will remember this game for the rest of your lives. Good luck from the Tennessee Football Coaches Association.
  14. I started coaching in 1973 in Savannah, Ga. and that policy was in place then and still remains today. Don't think they are sanitizing the seating area's, but concessions stand, dressing rooms and restrooms. Could be wrong!
  15. Didn't realize the City of Mt. Juliet ran things, I thought it was the county that called the shots. Things have certainly changed since we lived there.
  16. A person in Clarksville said this one could be a track meet. Wonder which team he is going to bet on? Good luck Eagles.
  17. Probably a bunch of finger pointing going on in Athens and he said, they said. Fault looks like it falls on both. JMHO
  18. I wonder what position the player played, not that it makes any difference. A sad ruling but the parents must have known this could happen, unless they have transported their son to every away game throughout the year.
  19. What is your opinion on the TSSAA decision today? I think DB advances and there will be no game played today, I don't care how many lawyers and doctor's you have that writes their name on something. If the young man tested positive, 10 days and 10 days isn't up until Wednesday. Have a good one.
  20. Meant that where DB is located, Sullivan County, has their own health dept. C'mon man, thought you would understand.
  21. What about lawyers and judges? What position did the player in question play? Could be contact tracing and many players be out. McMinn Co goes by the state health dept and D-B goes by their own health dept, is that correct? There may lie the problem.
  22. Speaking of enrollment questions, when the first enrollments came out Whitehaven from Memphis was listed as having less than 1500 students and were "potentially" classified as a 5A school. Shelbyville was the smallest 6A school, how did Whitehaven suddenly come up with over 1500 students and be classified as 6A.
  23. Don't think either team should be pounding on their chest until the clock says. 0:00.0 in the 4th quarter.
  24. This shows Whitehaven in Memphis as 5A with an enrollment of 1493. Next I read they are 6A but didn't see where they move up. But now they are shown with 1600 students. Who counted their numbers and how did they mysteriously change? RC is right again.
