Is that the one that made it 4th and 8??There was a 4th and 3 that Hampton was going to convert on but they blew it dead and called a False start which made them have to punt. In my opinion, that’s the one that cost them the most. A first down there and it was over.

The targeting call baffled me. I knew SG would get bailed out a time or two. They did seem to try to cut down every lead blocker even out in the open field.

2004 from what I seen.

Just got two tickets so they haven’t sold out yet. If you want some better hurry though cause they’ll be gone soon I’m sure.

Really enjoyed the news piece on the Jones boys. Loved watching all them compete and chatting with them from time to time. Great family

From seeing SG several times this year here is the breakdown: - Their overall athletes are better this year than last - Last year's OL was better and much bigger, this years bunch is quicker - QB (Myers) is what makes them go, if something happens to him they will be in bad shape. - RB's (20 and 24) are tough, physical, hard nosed players. In my opinion, they are what make SG good, especially on defense - Their secondary is really athletic and LB's struggle in pass coverage. -Their defense is a 3-4 look but they LOVE to bring pressure from the edge from the boundary. - # 2 is by far their best WR, he is Myer's go to on the deep ball - #5 is their hybrid TE / WR, did not play last year but he can be a difference maker because of his athletic ability. - Hampton can take advantage of their size up front and their QB is a stud. I do think it will be a closer game because it being at SG, we all know how the Greene County Refs are especially on rebel hill. Hope the Bulldogs can get the W. Big fan of the Lunsfords.

Exactly, NG has several athletes in the school, but if they do decide to play it is their senior year. They have zero football experience and can't handle the physical part. But you have to play the in order to have some skill players and depth is never good. However, they will be returning 30 plus players next year and will be in Single A. Doesn't mean anything but better days should be ahead. Noticed where Unaka is senior and junior loaded, wondering how their middle school teams are?

Wonder how muddy and how high the grass will be Friday night on Roan Mountain ? lol Loved going to Roan Mountain to watch the Old Cloudland teams back in the early 2000's. Nothing much better than some small community football....I agree with crazzyness. Unaka will slow their blitzing down with some screens and empty the backfield out. However, Cloudland should be able to control the clock and run it as much as they want. Good to see these two playing for the title.

Good possibility that Greeneville's QB is out. Not sure who the backups are, but that is the word around town.

North Greene returns everyone and got a new transfer that is really good. Enrollment is down to about 340 so they will definitely be in Single A I would think.

Will there be coaches that try to cover it up knowing a kid tested positive? I mean lets say we are in the fourth round and a backup player tests positive...are you going to risk going to the state championship game or forfeit? Going to be interesting how things turn out.

Heard last week that it is probably going to be Hilton's unless some unforeseen things take place. The Line coach (Haney) is apparently going to be the athletic director. South 45 Central 13

From what I have seen, they still run the Notre Dame box offense and rarely throw it. Have some decent athletes and size but do not believe it will be much of a contest. Should be a good game to work on the run game for Betsy.

Chuckey Doak HS is needing a game for this Friday. Would be a long haul for either team, but I know they were wanting one pretty bad.

Could be a toss up. Unicoi was up 21-0 v. NG at half and scored on first play of game, on a punt return and a really bad call by official. Other than that it was pretty competitive first half. Their starting QB did not play, they did not have much success running the ball inside. Once they got on the outside they had some success. I do not think they will have an easy time moving the ball against HV defense. Their defense is not overwhelming, NG moved the ball at times, SG ran it down their throats and Hampton physically mauled them. Should be a good game. Hoping and thinking HV gets a win!

Greenback is also looking for a game. I know they have played a tough schedule so far.

It was tied at half time, couple turnovers killed NG in the 3rd quarter. Had a chance to tie it up but couldnt catch a break. Cosby has a really athletic QB and several good size lineman. Very little depth though. They should have a hard time stopping cloudlands ground game.

You would think with all this Covid-19 stuff and uncertainty that coaches and schools would want to take every chance they can to play. Be hard to cancel a game over some mud.
