I thought the whole defensive front showed up tonight. #7 #50 #53 #52 #17 and the LB, #15 #2 #23-SS also played well. You don't shut down that type of offense without good play from the front 7 or 8.

Yes the run game was solid and the other changes on defense really made a difference. Like you said before it is a work in progress and it looks like they are starting to find their stride.

Clinton is thin for sure for a 5A school... When we scrimmaged earlier I told my my wife "The rest of their players will be out shortly but they never came." Meigs will look more like the 5A team in this match up.

I agree that SD has had more talent in the skill positions but 2 years ago they had a lot of sophomore lineman and skill players playing both ways and were still thin last year. I believe this year they are stronger in the trenches and will represent the East!

Add 2 points for home field advantage and Rockwood is the favorite. I'll take Rockwood in a close one in overtime.

I thought the effort was there so I would give them a B on effort and a C on execution. We're making progress and games like this will make us better.

I thought the same thing when I saw the 5A poll. But there are a lot of odd things in the other classifications also, makes me wonder if they even bothered to look at all the scores from this past weekend.

I don't know anything about Crocket but it looks like the AP has them at 12th in the state for 4a. Although I find it hard to put a lot of stock in the AP right now.

I don't believe they'll get beat by 21. I think they can win this game and I have faith in the coaches and players to step it up and come to play. It will be a very good game! Can't wait!

I'm at the Meigs-Sweetwater game and I'm gonna say it will be a push! Could go either way! Depends on who wants it more.

I read somewhere that OZ is returning quiet a few starters along with the RB and QB and hope to make a deep run in the playoffs, I thought it was on 5Star Preps but it must have been somewhere else because I couldn't find it on there. They'll be tough for sure and I hope we are healthy when they come to GB.

I hope this guy is at the scrimmage, it'll be a good test for our defense. Get us warmed up for tackling #25 in the opener.
