i see alot of potential with this team, wheeler,rudd, cunningham, and 2 or 3 starting linemen out and still tied bradley. learning the new offense will also be a key factor in making a run at the playoffs

did wortman get the blackmon or riverdale job, is that why he left? oak ridge 8th grade class is also very talented. i look for someone that put in last year but didnt get the job to get it this time.

so beech is going to run the same 1-3-1 defense..... i just remember last year when they had a great pg up top in the zone chasing the ball while he had 4 fouls sure enough he picked up his 5th, then they couldnt run their offensive sets without him and it cost them. mistake by the coach maybe he leaned something from it. question this year will be can they handle the press from bearden, reece should be ok at doing that and big john taylor should dominate phillips in the post, if bearden turns them over all night then i could get ugly if not beech has a great chance to win.

i believe catholics qb is tyler williamson, not williams and if he is going to play d1 football it will be at safety, best i have seen this year, needs little more speed. i saw parrott play last year not half the qb juhlin is. i think stone and juhlin are neck and neck but as far as d1 i take juhlin because of his size. but if stone played for quarles for 4 years there is no doubt he is playing big time d1 football next year. i am sure that the kid from mus is best in state.

phillip is a great qb, but an unbelievable competitor. i talk to him a couple weeks ago and he said he would love to go to georgia tech, but had not heard anything from them, if he has d1 offers then they have just came in, he told me carson-newman was best he had. i think he can play d1 football, and hope that he gets a chance.

i think this one will be a good one. i dont believe ooltewah is better than last years team that lost 35-0 to oakland, lost too much speed. maryville killed mcminn co, the outcome to this game could tell us where ooltewah stands in the state. but the number 1 team in the state...lol wins this one 21-7
