Indiana has more in state talent year in and year out than Tennessee does. Plus his main recruiting competition would be with Notre Dame and Purdue for that in state talent. I would much rather recruit against those 2 than Memphis. Plus men's basketball is the staple program at IU, at UT he will always be the little brother to Fulmer. But, I don't see him leaving either. He's a great coach, UT would be crazy not to match any offer that he receives.

I sure will be glad when Pearl decides to leave, that guy has our number right now. Maybe Indiana can lure him up there. /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />

Hey its two sides to every story. But, I did think the girl at UAB that painted her eye black and had the t-shirt that read "I'm Dozier's girlfriend" was pretty brilliant. Best shirt I had seen in a while.

I'll be there GC. Can't wait for the game. I can get you into the pre-game alumni party if you want to go. Its free food on Beale street, what more can you ask for. Or, if you are a UT fan, I have a friend that can get you into Bruce Pearl's pre-game press conference. PM me and I'll give you my cell #.

Better go get re-checked man, especially if you have any joint pain. I've only had it one other time, and it was the strain that turns in Rheumatic Fever. Not fun. It means hospital time because it causes heart failure. Now I'm considered high risk so I have to go back and get re-checked to make sure the antibiotics are working. The whole cotton swap to the back of the throat is torture to me. Yeah if he was shooting a horse needle. Shots don't bother me but that one had a little kick to it.

Best thing to do. I had strep throat last week, awful stuff. It'll probably have me taking antibiotics for a month. Bad thing is that my wife caught it too. We spent Valientines' Day in a doctors office getting matching shots in our rear ends. I know, I'll never live it down. I've been told that about 100 times. Add that to the fact that she tried to get me to go to the doctor Tuesday but I decided to be tough and go to work. I couldn't even turn my neck so when I was backing out of the driveway I ran over her minivan. I do mean ran over.

I think some of us Lexington fans fooled ourselves into thinking that we where up there with the Bolivar's and the Liberty's. Now people are looking back at those Bolivar and Liberty teams and realizing that we didn't come close to having the talent those teams had. I thought we could run with them at first, but after we had played both of those teams, I knew better. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

I went to Jackson yesterday. Its truly a blessing that nobody at Union University was seriously injured. Cav, I'm glad you and all of the Union students and staff are ok. I can just image how upset you are right now. My aunt lives in Denmark where a life was lost, its pretty sad to see all the damage in that area. My 21 year old little sister lives in Jackson alone, and I was worried sick about her. We had no way to communicate with her, and it was a sicking feeling to see all the news reports about Jackson and have no way to contact our loved ones. I really feel for all the parents that had kids at Union. I never want to have that feeling again.

I have to admit that I thought the Giants would be blown away in this game. I give NY a lot of credit, they played lights out on D and the offense made plays when they needed it. I'm not a big fan of the Manning family, but as a parent, I'm glad Archie got to see both his boys drive away from the Superbowl in new Cadillacs. I just hate Randy Moss finally got his head back on straight and he came up short. I've always been a Moss fan. He makes some dumb decisions sometimes, but he really does have some good intentions. I think Brady's ankle may have been hurt more than they wanted us to know. He missed throws that are pretty routine for him. Moss was open a few times and Brady just missed him. He was very un-Brady like. Plus he had no tape on the ankle, and I think they done that to throw everybody off and it back fired. Even with a small ankle injury most people put a little tape on there as a precaution because they are easy to re-injure. Most of the time it wouldn't have mattered though. Strahan and company were beating the Pats offensive line like they owed them money.

What is the perfect gift for the love one for Valentine's Day?

I giving her 2 tickets the the Memphis/UT game. That way I can over spend on the tickets and she won't be mad.. /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" /> -
Leave it up to P.A. to cause trouble. LOL.

LHS is not practicing. My son is 8 and as far as I know Coach Odle is working with kids in his age group during LHS's open facility time. I seriously doubt Dale's mom or dad would make a post like that. I would bet the farm that neither did.

This whole season is just getting uglier and uglier. They've got to pull of a win against McNairy or Milan, if they don't they will probably go 0-22. I feel bad for the kids that are playing hard to get wins.

I'm looking forward to this baseball season. Lexington returns a lot of talent and should be one of the best teams in AA. I'm not making any predictions though, I think I jinxed the football and basketball teams.
-
You guys really were our only test. The other teams had really limited play calling. One thing I did learn from that experience was that a dad should be at every powder puff practice. We only had about 2 weeks to prepare for the games, you would think we spent most of practice going over offense plays. NOPE. Going over defensive assignments? NOPE. We spent more time stretching than anything. You could just imagine why /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> . No way my daughter plays with out me being there. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Thats pretty good. We've got a girl here thats like that. She played on last years county line all-star team with my son, and I think she was the best player on the team. She played shortstop for us and would burn the first baseman's glove up with some of her throws. She played against us in our fall baseball league in Lexington, she was probably one of the top 5 players in the league. When I was in high school we had a girl in my class that throw a football better than most the starters on our football team. She played quarterback for us in powder puff football. We won 3 straight championships. We lost one game in 4 years, and thats when we were freshmen.

Happy B'day Tex.

Good idea, I'll try one. G Tony Delk, Haywood..needs no explanation. And only because I can't include Penny Hardaway. If I can't pick Tony, I'll go with a recent one. Anthony Sampson for Liberty. If he was taller he would have been a 4* recruit. G. Corie Johnson, Hardin Co. If someone can shoot the ball better than Corie could in high school, I would like to see it. He set national records. F Larry Fry, Lexington. An All American. Averaged over 30 points a game, WITHOUT A 3 POINT LINE. F Kirk Hastings, Perry Co. If he was good enough for Bob Knight to fly down to Perry Co., then he is good enough for me. C You had the right pick. Doug Atkins is a legend in West Tennessee. People still talk about how he was the best player they've ever saw.

110% correct. A UK fan and I had a pretty good debate about that a few weeks ago. Tubby would not be 7-9 right now, and he did not leave them without any talented players. Which brings me to my next point.. I'm nowhere close to being a UT fan, but I respect what Bruce Pearl is doing. Having Coach Cal at Memphis and Bruce Pearl at UT is great for this state. They have put the clamps down on UK and Arkansas coming into this state and taking away the best players. In recent memory, if you think of the successful years of UK basketball, you think of Tony Delk and Ron Mercer. Both Tennessee guys. UK can't land a Tennessee basketball player now. Now, we still lose some to out of state programs, but UK and Arkansas used to have a Tennessee native on their roster every year, not any more. For some reason, I love that.

Desean Jackson! You beat me to it. He should fall in th middle or late picks of round round, we be great if we could pick him. Another free agent that just got cleared to play.....AL WILSON. I would love to see him at MLB now that he is finally healthy. He loves this state, he comes back to church in Jackson for Easter and Christmas. Might as well keep him here. If he is as healthy as they say he is, then he is a Pro-Bowl player. Pacman is no where close to being what Deion Sanders was. I don't care if he gets his head on straight, gets out of trouble, and decides to teach Sunday School, he will never be on that level. The San Diego Charges have the closest DB to Deion Sanders.

Ashton is a little bit older than Emerie, he turned 1 yesterday. She is right on schedule, Ashton did the same thing at 10 months. Actually he took the longest to start walking out of all of my kids, for some reason my little ones get on their feet at about 8 or 9 months. My daughter and my son both were walking before they were 10 months old, but that was kinda early. We also had to use the drumsticks to help him start walking. We would lead him around the room while we both held the drumsticks. He started to trust that, and we eventually let the drumsticks go. He started walking with a drum stick in each hand, but hey, it worked!!

Just about everybody has been named. One name I didn't see was Larry Fry from Lexington.

Glad you are done May, I've been through the stress like many others on here. I know you feel a lot better today. VG's comment did make me laugh though. Thanks for the kind words everybody. There is definitely not a shortage of musical instruments in our music room. My oldest has a lead guitar, my daughter plays the keys, the drum set was a Christmas present for my 5 year old, and I play bass. Hey, it worked for Joe Jackson! LOL Just kidding. My oldest son and I would argue and fight over baseball till we both we out of breath. I knew too much about it for him, and he knew too much about it for me. We needed something that we could learn together and not argue. Sort of a father/son bonding activity. We turned to music and its grown every since.

My 11 month old and his out going personality. He's finally walking now too, that really makes me laugh. Heres a video of him playing the drums while my 5 year old tries to sing some James Brown through the microphone....

I'm a FSUMemphis fan. I have plenty of images and animations to poke fun at UT and Florida. I post in the FSU and Memphis message boards, I find plenty on there. If I see one that I like, I usually grab it.
