Best teams in Class A Next Year

i wonder what other teams that were AA moving down to A next season that will make an impact as well? humbodlt is moving down to A as well who plyed raleigh egypt in the first rund of state tournament who also eliminated giles county which wasnt an easy task at giles county.i hear union city will only loose one senior this season and went 31-3.i believe there will be some good teas left out of the regional tournament next eason because of the upgrade in region 8 next season.humboldt,union city,lake county,middle college,halls and yo academy in one district.i dont know if you are going to get a tougher district then anywhere in A.look at the pariody between humboldt,union city and lake county in which they return several players for next seson.it should be very interesting who makes it out of there to substate and get to murfreesboro.those teams will be in the opposite region of middletons.you will get a barnburner there as well although its really early to call.

Cosby will be good (again) next year, and I don't think they lose anyone they can't replace. They will be more experienced as well and will have the memories of a loss to Rockwood in the region semi's this year. Edited March 22, 2005 by shnikens

Back to the subject. Lake County will be better next year, I think. We only lose 2 players, but that's okay. I think next year we'll go to state.

Lake County does stand a good chance of getting to the Boro with the talent that is returning for 05-06. The new 10 team district will leave someone at home though. Union City, Lake County, Trenton Peabody, Humboldt and Halls will be battling for the 4 spots to get into the region. It's a long way off though.

Temple will be back as a contender next season.

Even though Caleb, Sean, Zach, and Cudd will be gone -- the Crusaders will have a pretty good team with Seth Skogen, Dee Newson, and Josh Smith returning. It will be interesting to see who will fill the other postitions, but I have no doubt that Temple will do well the next couple of years with these guys in the line-up.

thumb tough, tough, tough. This group of top teams will have a great regular season and tourn. I am a Middleton fan but I would love to see some of these match up with the teams coming from AA.

This was definitely the year for Temple to win the state. It will be much tougher next year with Grace loosing little and Arts & Sciences dropping down.

Hampton should be the team to beat in east tn. as far as 1A goes. They'll have a pretty good team for the next couple of years.

Humboldt opens next year with Trenton, Union City, and Halls. That's a tough three games, but it sure beats Bolivar, Liberty, and Lexington!

Something to think about...Humboldt played Peabody twice and Halls once this past year winning all three games...Union City played Humboldt twice and won both games..Union City didn't play one Single A team all year,which meant they didn't play teams very close to Union City....South Fulton,a school 10 miles away..Trenton,an old basketball rival of the Tornadoes and Lake Co,who the Tornadoes used to play all the time...It will be good to see Union City play some of these teams again...Should be some very emotionally charged games...SF is always tough on UC...Clint Sisco vs Shane and Marty Sisco The leather coat and towel(Jimmy Whitby of Lake Co.)back coaching against Union City where he had some memorable games as coach of Obion Central...Shane Sisco coaching against his former team Gleason...Two of the tougher games UC played two years ago during a 26-7 season was against Greenfield..Everybody in this district will be gunning for the Vikings and Tornadoes next year because all they will hear during the off-season will be how these two teams will dominate the new district...
