After spending a week down at Spring Training and seeing the character of the guys today... look out for the Reds! thumb Look for 'em to stay close to the top (remember, they were leading the division until a horrible series with the Cards in June last year) and then hopefully make a move to get a true ace. As long as our pitching can keep games close, we'll be fine. Dunn, Kearns, Casey, Griffey... we're gonna put up some numbers.

GO REDS!

yea Adam Dunn can stroke! now he will go about 0 for his next 10 to get his battin average back down to where it was last year B) . honestly, if anyone watched the game the Reds looked completely horrible against Pedro after his rocky first inning, which was expected in his first inning for a new team in a new league. after that he settled down and made them look silly....struck out like 12 of the next 13. thats just one win against a team that isnt even a playoff contender. they can swing the bat but like i said....their starting pitching will be their downfall, and it should have been today since their ace got stroked.

if the Cubs swing the bat like they did today they wont even need Wood and Prior this year. they made a good pitcher look like a high school kid.

Honestly, I watched the game and Pedro was on it man. HE made the Reds look silly, sure. An AWESOME pitcher can do that to ya. I said to my friend though "once he gets out of the game, we'll hit the ball and we'll pull out the W." What happened? We hit the ball and pulled out the W. A very high-quality win over a good team. The Mets are very improved... they'll contend.

That offense will have to average 7 or 8 runs a game for the Reds to even sniff 90 wins with that pitching staff.

As of late PM Tuesday, April 5, the Cardinals were 1-0. .... Soooo, until they lose, I'm saying 162-0 with the division title locked up by the All Star Break. :P

Seriously, I just don't see anyone dethroning the Cards this year.

Haha...me and you have the same thinking....lol

Cardinals beat the Astros 7-3 with Edmonds hitting a three run jack and Larry Walker and Reggie Sanders also homered with Carpenter pitching 7 innings and 4 hits.....Today Jason Marquis pitches against Andy Pettite......GO CARDS.....161 to GO!!!!

    • Ok l will bite. What exactly are Football Families?
    • Honestly the A.D. may be powerless at Maryville to some degree versus other schools. I know he has his hands full with GoFan and all the stupid surprises just from the emails he sends out during the season.
    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
