Flashy1048
If I had to pick based on last Friday night then I will give the edge to Alcoa. The Maryville secondary could be their weak spot (Safety position), but The Reb D line looks very good! It should be a great game if Alcoa comes out to play. If they come out like last year then if could get ugly!!
dudenoway
Alcoa at home with all their talent, and most of the county cheering them on.....Quarles better bring a magic show!! Prediction: Alcoa thumps Maryville by a few touchdowns as long as everyone is healthy
TnFootballfan
If you alcoa fans think that you are gonna score 28 points on the Maryville D, you have a rude awakening coming. This is the same D who when their starters have been in haven't given up a score to OR, DB, or AE . . . and that was without atleast a couple starters in each. Now i'm not getting on here saying that Maryville is gonna beat the crap out of alcoa or anything, or even that alcoa won't score. It is gonna be a battle, but I think that Maryville's depth, front seven on D, Maples, and the RB's are gonna be the difference for Maryville. I see Maples scoring atleast 1 td, and breaking some big gains on punt returns. The RB's at Maryville are just as good as the ones you have over there at alcoa, know that. My prediction is MHS- 24 AHS-14 825716868 Well lets think about this....Maryville has the same Defense as last year....but not the same offense... Alcoa is the same team as last year but 14 times (since that how many games that have played since) more experienced than they were last year. Alcoa scored 18 on the good ol maryville D last year when maryville had a good Offense to help the defense rest.... If Alcoa could put up 18 points on the good ol maryville d last year...you best bet Alcoa will put up AT LEAST that much this year!!!!! "QUOTE" The D actually gave up 12 points. Six were on a meaningless kickoff return after Maryville had blown it open.

12yr.oldchamps
If Maryville's defense is as good or better than the one that beat Melrose then I"ll take Maryville by 10.
Flashy1048
Flashy, did you know you were watching a jamboree? Go to a game this year. You'll be amazed. 825717296 Oh yeah I know what I was watching, and I will be at least one game. I was also at the DB scrimmage. I'm just saying the middle of the field is the weak spot on the Reb D! They looked strong everywhere else though.
pepvol
I think Maryville's offensive line is the key to this game . If they can get a push off the line of scrimmage , they can control the time of possesion with the running game . If Maryville's line gets whipped .... long night for Maryville . Alcoa has too many great athletes not to capitalize and score If they're getting a lot of opportunities , even on a defense like Maryville's . Maryville's secondary is inexperienced , but they have the talent to be as good as last year .... with the front 7 being even better than last year , anywhere close to last year's secondary may be enough . thumb
Rebel Nation
I volunteer to host the pitty party for the 80 folks that picked Alcoa to win...
MaryvilleMarine0311
See what you Maryville people dont understand is that if we beat you one out of every 4 years, then that is an accomplishment. Maryville should never ever ever get beat by a 2A team. Alcoa should be praised for their record against Maryville, because it is better than a lot of 5A teams against Maryvile(William Blount and Heritage, not to mention any names). So instead of boasting about your 52-21 record against us, you should be saying to yourself, how is a 2A team competing with us and beating us some? Just some food for thought. And by the way, what do you Maryville people think about the scared football teams of William Blount and Heritage dropping us from their schedule. I guess it was to embaressing for them to get beat by a 2A team all the time. I bet they will try to schedule us again after Brandon, Duck, Joei and company are gone. 825686585

oskie
You've got to give Alcoa the edge in talent, but my Maryville connections tell me that GQ will be the difference.
