Montrell and Robinson are the real deal. But, one back and one WR does not equal a dominant team.  Let's face it...the talent just isn't there like it was a few years ago. And there isn't very much in the pipeline (7th & 8th grade) this year. They are having trouble keeping kids in school (grades, transfers, drop outs....) and there has been trouble among the coaching staff. Vic should have left two years ago, when he had the offer. His stock is dropping and this season isn't going to help him.

Marion County will be better this year which doesn't bode well for SP. Before ya'll jump on me about who is going to win the game, listen to what I have to say. If Marion is getting more press, SP fans wont be able to stand it. They would rather die than to have anything good said about Marion County. This will increase the pressure on Vic to have a successful season. Very soon, the SP faithful will turn on him and he'll be forced to leave with a dark cloud hanging over his head. That's the shame of the so called "sports fan", they love you when you win but they don't understand when you loose because you don't have anything to work with.

I think SP games will be entertaining this year because of the ability of Montrell and Robinson, but fans shouldn't get too hyped about any repeat trips to the boro. Ain't gonna happen!  ;)

Well Jasper better toot their horn while they can because it will be silent most of the year. Jasper just doesn't have the talent to compete with SP year in and year out these days. They especially don't have the talent to compete in their region . So just get used to that old purple horn just sitting there silent game after game and the Jasper faithful sit in empty stands like they have the past few years.

South Pittsburg is loaded with talent in the skill position area. The weak spot will be the line. They are OK but the depth is not what it needs to be on the line. Arland will turn some heads on both sides of the ball. The young players are very good and will only get better in the future. After seeing a little of the spring practice and a little of their practices this week. In their region they will be fine. The playoffs will have a monster from northern middle Tennessee waiting on them.

Just want to know how good South Pitt will be this season. One of the premier Class A programs in the state, it should be about time for them to start another solid run. How many players do they have out? Who are the top players? What are their strengths and weaknesses? Will they win their region?

south pitt will be pretty good this year and yes they will win their region. they are really young with 28 freshmen and soph. and will field a 40 man roster. their team speed is incredible and they will be a force to watch out for the next couple of years. antonio robinson is a big physical reciever who has d1 qualities and the backfield isn't to shabby with the mathews kid. also watch out for montrell mitchell who is a freshmen. this kid is a true talent in the backfield.
