alot of players choose not to play, that's why there are so many alternate's that get invited. just so happens this year alot of alternates were from the east.

In year's past you have also had players play in the Shrine Game in Murfreesboro instead of the TN-KY game. You can't play in both. The Shrine game is usually the last weekend of this month. They are still playing it, aren't they.

Unfortunately I do NOT 'think' so this year. I 'think' I read somewhere, maybe on here, last fall that the Shriners had pulled their sponsership from the game.

To me this game failed the same way the Ga-Tn game did. 'If' I was in charge it would be the SAME team to play BOTH games. Coaches drawn from the three Grand Divisions of Tn with the 'head' coach being rotated each year. Then the DC could be from one of the regions and the OC from the other. They all should be allowed to choose one assistant and the designated 'head' coach allowed to pick three assistants.

 

The TSSAA should pick up the tab for the expenses and travel and have a large input on the players chosen. They could keep the entire gate for the games to cover this when the games were played in Tn.

 

Thing is that NO region should dominate, but the teams represent the ENTIRE State of Tennessee.

Lee Sweeney from Friendship Christian came out cold as QB on the Tennessee side. Cade Thompson from Maryville was substitued for him and threw for 269 yards, 1 TD, and 3 INTs. I guess the ground game for the Tennessee side was non-existent. Hard to win without a running game...

Why is it that this game is not televised or on the radio. There are a lot of us who do have an interest and I don't understand why if you can't get there you still can't see it. Other all-star games, it is usually on CSS or Fox Sports. The media coverage also stinks. I have been trying for a couple of days to see if the Tennessean puts out an article on the results and stats for the game. Who did the stats, and can they pleeeease give them to the Tenneassean?

Why can you not run the football with D1 Prospects all across the OLine and the 2nd best all-purpose back in the nation running the football (Coker)? What kind of running game did they employ? Did they run a zone concept or a man blocking scheme, with a lot of straight ahead and counter trey blocking?
