Riverdale vs. Lincoln County

is there even a point in having a thread for riverdale... lol... anyways, i see them winning by a score of 56-7 unless lincoln county decides to play like they were supposed to be capable of at the beginning of the year, if they play a good game i feel like they can hold riverdale to 42 points...

Riverdale is coming off their biggest win since 1994, and I think they might be hungry for a BIGGER win. You never know. But I feel like Lincoln County might be better competition than Blackman. It all comes down to how much heart Riverdale puts into the game

Some random thoughts on this....

 

If the Warriors run all over the Falcons then Rankin will keep the score below 60 (it would have been below 48 if Franklin hadn't set a new record )

 

Riverdale is the heavy-weight favorite, so if the Falcons lose close then they look good, and if they win then they look REAL good.

 

I'll bet Rankin doesn't have the same level of confidence that others are showing on this thread.

 

And finally, if the Horned Frogs can travel to Norman and beat the Sooners, then beware of Falcons soaring over Murfreesboro....

Lincoln County can't/won't win this game. The score could be real ugly, but Coach Rankin and Coach Thompson are very good friends. Their friendship is the only thing that MAY keep this from being really bad. Riverdale could very probably win this one even if NONE of their starters played. Riverdale's second team could easily beat Lincoln County this year.

I don't see LC hanging close with Riverdale... But let's not forget, it was the 4-6 Falcons that beat #1 Riverdale three seasons ago... and it was the Falcons that first beat Riverdale at Tomahawk...

Two very good posts...you see it every week. I've predicted LC being a year away from the beginning but always respect their ability and tradition. They beat Blackman badly so they can play ball. No overlooking this one.

To say that the Falcons are not being overlooked is a politically correct statement, and surely appreciated...but realistically...c'mon folks, these Falcons don't have a prayer against these Warriors. Riverdale will win by whatever margin Rankin wants.

If Riverdale wins, I believe that either ties or breaks the school record for consecutive wins. But the same thing happened in 2002 at the Pit, and Lincoln County shocked the Warriors by winning 10-9 and breaking their winning streak. I don't see LC even standing a chance, but you never know what will happen.

this is a rivalry game.. and anything can happen in those types of games.. just because riverdale wins on paper doesnt mean anything.. i mean i love the warriors just as much as the next cause that is my school but i know football and sports.. and you cannot over look anyone.. go warriors

'If' R'dale was taking this game for granted they would NOT be practicing tomorrow. As it is though they start practice at 8:30 tomorrow morning.

 

This team takes NOBODY for granted! Every game is important and is being treated as such.

 

Now how many other teams are practicing tomorrow?
