The top two in your poll should be flip flopped, Jackson County beat Clarkrange twice last year, once at Clarkrange and the trend will not end this year. However it won't matter who finishes 1/2 as both will make the state tournament easily, there is no team in the substate that will come close to challenging either of these two very talented teams. Both will win their substate games by atleast 20 points and then the real game begins. Unless injury occurs these two teams will play eachother 5 times this year with the last one for ALL the marbles, with Jackson County winning it by 10. Not a prediction a fact! Look forward to seeing everyone this upcoming year and good luck to all the teams.

Thanks for all the confidence in Jackson County and we wish Clay County and YOUR BOYS a great season as well. Although we would love to have them back home. GOOD LUCK THIS SEASON.

No i live in Jackson County and see no reason to change my name, i am a big fan of my two sons, one will graduate a Bulldog and one will graduate a Blue Devil! So i guess if i was going to change it i would be a "devildog" which would fit as i am a former U.S. Marine and that is a nickname given to the Marines but no i'll just keep it like it is.

Wishfull thinking on the #1 spot, but in reality Jackson County will sweep Clarkrange again this year just like they did last year and the year before when they won the state championship and Jackson County beat them by 40 points that year. They are no longer the #1 team to beat on everyone's schedule in Class A. Only if you're from Clarkrange can you post any other way. However they do have the talent and the coaching to pull an upset, so that is not out of the question.

RBS beat a 27-6 Westmoreland Team that went to state last year "twice"

 

RBS beat a very good Celina team twice last year

 

RBS gave Clarkrange everything wanted in the last game of the regular season 47-38

 

RBS went 7-8 against team with winning records! I know that doesnt sound too impressive until you see that RBS did this with 1 senior, 1 junior, 6 sophmores, and 3 freshman!

 

And lets remember, those 6 soph and that 1 jr were vital in RBS knocking off the eventual state champs two years ago(Clarkrange) in RBS!

 

Take theses players and add that T-N-T tourney freshman class and RBS should be very tough in years to come!

 

I still think RBS is a year away, but it will be fun to see them play against some of the good teams in the area this year!

RBS has a bright future for sure, the best player on last years middle school team is still in middle school but i hear she is going to be playing for the high school this year. As for Westmoreland representing this region in the state tournement, yes they did that last year but they won't have a chance to get there as long as Jackson County and Clarkrange are both in Class A and in their region.

Very True, but Jackson Co. didnt exactly slap Clarkrange or Celina around and neither of theses team slapped RBS around and all theses teams have pretty much the same teamas last season with Celina missing Herriman the most! But once again I think JC is the team to beat in the district and I think RBS is a year away!

Agreed but you also have to remember that next years freshman class for Jackson County will be a BUMPER crop, just come to a middle school game and you'll know what i'm talking about. They just reload every year and being one of the biggest schools in Class A they just have more athletes to chose from thus a deeper bench.
