personally i've always wanted to see Oak Ridge play or heck even play against them. Gulmire will be huge... I'd hope for the Toppers win but I'll be realistic and say OR-42 SHHS-21

Hey Bounder, are we doing the tailgate party thing for the playoffs?

Does a wildcat get mad when he gets scratched by an owl? Does a big wheel roll? Has a cat got a never mind you get the picture. Of course, not sure what we will serve but we'll be there at every game. If the price of ribs go down we may have some ribs with baked beans and slaw. Maybe some beans and cornbread.

 

Just got the word burgers, hot dogs and sausage dogs with green peppers and onions.

Sounds like a tailgate party too me! All you Johnson City fans making the trip come early and eat at the tailgate party. Enjoy the atmosphere and the fans.

Love to see the locals win, but Science Hill is probably in trouble here. Great to see the Toppers in the playoffs, but..............OR is looming large.

The Hill has good overall team speed. #8 is a solid receiver, good athlete, good kid from a good family...his dad former Admiral QB back in the Bill Bates era, had a great career at Carson-Newman...#20 good LB (his dad a great two sport star at Dobyns-Bennett)...#77 very active DL...QB #12 good speed, good arm...#6 good DE and can catch a pass or two...they want to pass and have been successful against average to bad defenses, had trouble moving the ball against D-B, Sevier County, and Bearden (missed a FG at the end of the game to lose to the Bulldogs 9-7)...kicked a game winning FG to beat Karns 17-14...if they can be successful with their short passing game, then will use some draws and counters with #2 and try to hit #8 deep...used the option only twice against the Indians, but #2 has over 800 yds and QB #12 has over 600 yards rushing...have more two-way players this year than in the past few...

Great atmoshere for high school football in the Atomic City...great fans, and an outstanding team...Hill fans should truly enjoy the experience of The Ship and the 'Cat's fans...it is a wonderful place to play...
