It was announced today that Coach Greg mantooth has resigned as Head Football Coach at Franklin County. I for one hate to see Mantooth leave. He is a first class Coach and Man. He will be missed.

Let this be the first post pushing Wes Elrod for the Head Coaching vacancy at Mt. Juliet. He's helping out at Wilson Central and has family in Gladeville. Coach Elrod would be the perfect person to get this program on the right track with discipline and maybe some hitting?? There is a lot of young talent and a very good dual-threat quarterback who will be a senior next year. The O-line will be anchored by a rising junior wh is 6'3", 285 and is a D-1 prospect. The defense will be solid with many underclassmen playing this year. The running game is in good hands with a very good rising junior. Coach Elrod, we need you!

TUT................you are mean. I will have to pass this on. Hershel was informed of the possibility this morning and he has already designed an entire "new" offense for the Bears by the afternoon. It is called Wilson County Razzle Dazzle with a touch Of "wing". The "over the hill gang" would definitely throw a wrinkle or 2 into the mix and I am not talking about the bad-looking bodies
