I have heard recently that Zach Helton suffered a torn MCL in one of his knees in the game last week against Red Bank. It is a very credible source that I received the information from. He is said to be about 70 percent. During practice this week, he wasn't able to run the option or do anything like that. The question is: Will he be ready for Maryville?

The diagnosis and rumors get a little better with each post. This poor kid may be in a wheelchair by Friday! What was said by his Dad in the paper last Saturday, and what the Central people have said is deep thigh bruise. This is a tough kid, and if he can walk he will play. I know that Maryville is preparing as if he will play.

i guess some of you guys posting your rumors are hoping Maryville's defensive coaches are dumb enough to change schemes based on rumors ... Maryville has been around the block a time or two .. been there , done that .

 

you bring what you've got ...and we'll bring what we've got , and may the best team win .

Well actually they are preparing for him not to play for the simple fact that Kenny Cruz, the backup QB, stayed for an hour and a half after practice was over so they could work with him. All of this information is coming from one of the coaches on the Central coaching staff. So it's not like I'm making this stuff up. He is a tough kid, but when something like this happens where you can barely move it much less run, being tough and being smart become two different decisions.

In fact, I have already contacted your beloved Coach George and he has told me anything else I can find out will be greatly appreciated. So you can think whatever you want about what I'm saying but I'm telling you it's the truth.

How's this. I hope Zack is Ok, I don't want any kid hurt, from any team.

 

Most of us respect QB Helton and know he is an above average QB and one a team has to prepair for.

 

But understand this, Maryville has not lost to a Helton led team 7 times in a row. We don't fear any player and don't care who takes the snaps for central.

 

Imagin this, maybe Cruz is a better QB and should have been there the whole year! Maryville will be ready Friday Night, for whoever it won't make any difference IMO!

I have never seen Maryville "adjust" their scheme from game to game. They are gonna do what they do, regardless.

 

I heard zach had his mishap during the opening drive.

Did he finish the game?

Did he score while he was "injured"?

He will play friday.

So you went to Powell you don't like either of us and yet you are friendly enough with Central coaches for them to give you this inside info and then you turn around and pass it on to Maryville Coaches? How dumb do you think people are????

      Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.

      It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.

      That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.

      Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.

      Facts...until someone takes down the Rebels they should be the favorite. Got loads of young guys salivating at the opportunity to prove themselves and get a 3peat! Blazer how is Region 1 looking this year?
