Interesting post bigchief...again I`m gussing the reason they are under enrolled is because a lot of their zoned students go to private schools.

 

So are there any qualifications that a student must meet to transfer to Hillsboro such as a lottery or a certain GPA? Or is it just first come first serve until the limit is met?

 

Do you happen to know what the other 3 under enrolled schools are?

 

I`m not saying bigchief is wrong, but can anyone else confirm this? And how long has Hillsboro been on this status? Is this the first year?

I listed the other three schools in my post. Whites Creek, Stratford, and Pearl- Cohn are under capacity. Sorry I didn't post the link to the City Paper. At least tnsddeveloper accepted my knowledge at face-value. Oh yeah, it is FIFO when they fill those spots (first in-first out). Sorry, I teach Accounting I and II. Hillsboro has always had a high number of "special transfer" athletes anyway. Both male and female. Nothing has changed except now they don't have to sign up for Cosmetology. Also, Hunters Lane and Hillwood also have I.B. (International Baccalaureate) status. I haven't seen any ads for either of those programs. If you keep walking around a fenced in yard, sooner or later you will find a way to get in.

Dude, Livingston Academy won the state in AAA this year. It is also a public high school and the only high school in Overton County. Hard to recruit against yourself.
