I wish the best for your son. He always played hard. Riverdale's handling of this matter is uncall for.

wingman10, Thanks. Yes the boy played HARD. Giving it his all is the only way he knows how to do anything. Luckily ROTC scharlorships do NOT depend on being in the Clearing House. :thumb:

It is not too late for a football one either if somebody needs a hard hitting player though. Not 'everyone' at R'dale had anything to do with the mess ups in getting the 'clones' stuff into the Clearing House. There were just a couple and I know how to handle that situation. :thumb:

For ALL atheletes playing any sports, GET everything you need into the NCAA Clearing House as soon as you can. For current Juniors, the time is NOW!

Congradulations to Mr. Forrest...just curious on how he got a college scholarship when he didnt even start on his high school team this year? <_< No offense to him I'm just curious (I know he was injured for a while)...he didnt have a junior season and hardly a senior season...did his father just talk to some people and make connections?

Huntington is in some of my old stomping grounds. It's a really good faith-based school. As a D-III school they don't give athletic scholarships but they do play football and have quite a few kids that move on to other schools where they do eventually get scholarships. Matt will play with some good football players there and he'll also play with a lot of guys that are there for a quality education.

You have got to be kidding........do you mean to tell me that Clone still doesn't have his paperwork sent in from RHS? What in the world is the delay?

They are not that stupid. They are sending it in........one piece at a time!

Only thing is between times it gets there and gets processed it takes even more time. Then we have to go back and get them to send the next piece they send in. I figure the 'clone' will be graduated from college before they get it all in.

Hopefully it is ALL in now and we are just waiting for the NCAA to process this last batch. I just hope no one is stupid enough to ask me for a $ contribution in the future! Football is not the only 'game' R'dale is good at.

He is an excellent longsnapper....can't say for sure.....but I would bet money his scholarship is for that.

Wow, I haven't been on here in forever.

Blackman has a former LB (2000-2002) who is playing for the VOLS this spring. Oh wait a second.....that guy is me!!!!!!! That's right, after playing at MTSU for a little bit, I transferred to UT, and I start spring practice this Thursday.

DREAMS do come true, don't they man? So great to see you back on here. You have been sorely missed, and I am so proud of you.

    • I hear the Stansberry kid is having receiver's come out all the time to help put in some work.    RWR!! I hope 20+ kids are showing up.
    • I think that pretty much sums it up, really. To be perfectly honest, I'm far less sour about Eagleville getting to host themselves in the state tournament every year than I am the fact that we find ourselves in a position that we have to play STATE TOURNAMENT games at a blamed Single A facility.
    • It's time to put away with the award. 18 players selected, and 17 of those players are from Middle and East Tennessee. I guess they don't play baseball in West Tennessee. I understand there will be players that were "snubbed." We can make a legit argument that it occurs in Mr. Football and as well as Mr./Mrs. Basketball. But baseball is not a place where we can sit here and say "these are the 3 best players in this class and that class."  And we got to get rid of these polls bullcrap that's being released. It's all nonsense.
    • Thanks. I'm just trying to understand how this process works.   It seems like a bit of a sweetheart deal to me but the cookie has to crumble somewhere I guess.
    • He won’t got anywhere he has it made in h20 he prob makes almost what a head coach in t c makes plus there’s not as much pressure there everyone is a use to the losing there. I say he will be there for many years just waiting for Webster to leave…
