Any Freshmen Pitchers?

After reading C's Dad's post, have you guys seen any good Freshmen pitchers during all of the playdays and scrimmages going on? Loved the post by C's Dad, by the way.

Chattanooga Christian's pitcher threw a four-hit shutout against Whitwell Monday. I believe she plays for the Heat, or did last summer, if I have my teams straight.

I would have to say that Ivy Renfroe at TCA is a great Freshman pitcher. She led her team to a 3rd place finish at state last year as an 8th grader and was named The Jackson Sun's Player of the Year. Her younger sister in 8th grade this year isn't too bad either.

Courtney Elrod and Megan Youngblood both of Rossview are going to be very good over the next 4 years. Courtney threw a 1 hit shut out over a very good Sycamore team yesterday, Rossview winning 12-0. Courtney had 8 K's and no walks.

Unfortunately, one of the best freshman pitchers this year is unable to play due to an ACL injury. Kayla Kerns from Sweetwater will make a lot of noise next year when she returns........

I would have to say Kim Hall (OS) is & will be the BEST freshman pitcher, and if you don't know that now you will soon.

There is a good freshman pitcher at Dekalb County, Shay Sullivan. You will hear alot from her this year and years to come.

I think you are refering to Jennifer Long. If so, she seems to be having some eligibility problems. At least that's what CCS told GPS when they called to cancel our game the next day. Apparently eligibility rules don't apply when you play Whitwell?
