DugoutDad
This Thursday night, April 27, is “Turn Back the Clock” night at the Ballpark at Farragut. A doubleheader will be played, beginning at 5:00 with Bearden vs. Karns, followed by the nightcap between Oak Ridge and Farragut. All four teams will be dressed in old-style uniforms and will be using wooden bats. No admission will be charged, but donations will be accepted benefiting East Tennessee Children's Hospital. Concessions will be available at old-style prices, and we'll be playing period music from the Skybox. Tell your friends and neighbors and let’s all come out and have a fun evening at the ballpark in an old-time atmosphere! Turn Back the Clock night, Thursday, April 27th. This event is sponsored by the Wakefield Corporation and the Farragut Dugout Club.

cbg
This is a great idea and will be a ton of fun for the players, families, and friends. They should charge admission and dontate everything to a charity. Use the publicity to show that todays kids are doing something positive. The hope is that the charitable donations will exceed what the admissions would have been. Guess we'll find out in a few hours.
davidlimbaugh
to really roll back the clock - have the kids leave their gloves on the field where they play at just they used to do in the old days
JohnDoe
Karns beats Bearden. OR takes Farragut for, I think the second year in a row with Catapano on the mound. Both games were great!!! They were within 3 runs.
DugoutDad
It was indeed a great night of old-style baseball and fun!! The scores were low, hitting was tougher with wood bats, and the attendance was fantastic. Obviously we are not pleased with the score of the Farragut game, but I am happy to report that we raised $800 for East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Hopefully there are some kids that will benefit from this money, and help get them on the playing field in the future. Thank you to everyone who helped us make it happen. Congrats to Karns, defeated Bearden 3-1. Congrats to Oak Ridge, defeated Farragut 3-2.
