Good for Iowa,they're gettin a great one. Interesting choice for Tyler Smith. Looks like it might be a good one for him though. Obviously some talent coming in & maybe now that he didn't get the Indiana job,Coach Alford will stay for a while.

Well Iowa got a highflying player for sure. Having played against Tyler, I was blown away by his leaping ability. But as Squad said, interesting choice for him choosing Iowa.

Alford is a good coach and a discipline coach. Tyler will improve under Alford. Good luck playing for the Hawkeyes.

You think Hargrave Military Academy didnt teach him a thing about basktball and life. I know its a prep school but you are in for wake up call when you enter that millitary school I can bet you they didnt care who he was their basketball team was loaded with talent before him and will be loaded with talent after him. His ego took a shot and thats a given..

Pearl was an assistant under Dr.Tom Davis at Iowa...Seems like a natural intraconference game to play.....

 

Now a trip for Pearl into Fightin'Illini country might be a different thing with his history with Illinois.....

 

But as for T. Smith..Good Riddance!!....I guess Alford gave Daddy Smith what HE wanted....

 

Grace..I agree !!...Tennessee has beaten the Gators the last TWO times in Gainesville and swept them last season...I don't see why the Vols or Pearl would be worried about playing the Hawkeyes...
