I hope on the new posting of the Top Female Soccer Players, that Leah Wilson of CCS is on the GK list. She definitely is one great goal keeper. I can't understand why her name hasn't appeared on any of the previous list.

JP2 scored 3 goals on her inside 10 yards on Saturday .

She went down too early all three times. She needs to learn to support her back line better.

She is a good goalie, though. Why doesn't she play club soccer ?

I'd like to add Patience Leonard (MF - Greeneville)

She was all-state last year as a Sophomore and as a Junior in pre -season play, she looks stronger and quicker.

Michelle Meade (F) also from Greeneville scored over 20 goals as a Freshman but missed the entire Sophmore year with a torn ACL. Now a Junior she should pick up where she left off and looks like she hasn't lost any of her speed.

My bad. I just looked at the updated list and see both are now on it.

Any word on the condition of Anna Fisher of Centennial? [Listed #1 for Forwards]

She was injured, at the Centennial - Notre Dame Game Saturday 8/26.

I understand that after a collision with the ND GK in the 2nd half she was taken to the hospital, off the field by ambulance on a back board with a neck brace.

Got to observe her in action against Ooltewah Friday night and she is truly a gifted and amazing player. She scored in the first 23 seconds of the game, and left some experienced defenders shaking their heads wondering what just happened. Her movement with and without the ball is what you want your girls to aspire to.

I hope she recovers quickly and completely.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
