She is a freshman, played last year as an 8th grader for Grace. Scored 20+ goals last year as a striker. She plays club Div 1 up two years and ODP. She will be one to watch over the next four seasons.

i will get to see grace play in 3 weeks vs brentwood academy and tullahoma at the rebelette classic

Michelle Johnson (Senior MF) from Montgomery Central High School

Scored 14 goals in first 4 games of the season including two five-goal games, 7 assists

Doesn't get a lot of coverage considering where she is playing. Has enough individual skill and on-field intelligence to compete with any other player on the list.

Very impressive. What 4 teams did she score on?

We have a great keeper in Cumberland County... Heather Smith. She is a state ranked catcher for softball and this is her second season playing soccer. She had a great game against Cookeville in pre-season, with Cumberland County losing 1-2. Heather had 7or8 incredible saves. She is a senior who has amazing athletic ability in the goal!

i am currently reworking to add players

I really appreciate all you do for (girls) soccer fans! I look forward to your insight and especially your rankings. I hope you get a chance to check out the Lady Irish of Notre Dame before the year is out. They have some really talented players and would love to see how they would rank with the state's best. Hope to see you in Chattanooga.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
