As I observed earlier, it's just a little ironic a 5A team will travel 100 miles to play McCallie but the Owls will avoid driving across town. 10000 to 12000 fans of high school football would pay to see the two best local teams.

 

Is that the only thing you talk about? The best way to deal with your frustration about Ooltewan not playing McCallie is to go to Ooltewah High School and ask for a guy named Mr. Foster (principal there) why he doesn't want to play McCallie. You need to settle that up with him instead of posting about Ooltewah not playing McCallie on almost everypost you have! I agree with you that Ooltewah and McCallie should play each other but thats not our call. When Ooltewah is given the greenlight to play them they will! I'm sure it would be a great game!

 

Also, how does riverdale have 450 yard rushing and 0 yards passing? That sounds like a Carson-Newman stat to me. I hope McCallie goes far this year in which they probably will. Another state championship in Chattanooga would be great!

i DISAGREE the QB should do what the coach says and not questioin him unless the coach asks him a question! if i were a smyrna fan ( which i pull for smyrna unless they are playing RIverdale) i would be quiet and not get our guys any more ready for that game it is marked on everyones schedule and all our boys have been hearing is that smyrna is going to win and smyrna was picked to win the region which Riverdale hasnt loss a region game inmy 10 year old boys life!!! so just sit back play your other 5 or 6 games Riverdale will be at smyrna before you know it

Again i will say i am happy about the good game plan we had in this game it was enough to win but we all know prevent defense prevents you from winning against siegel i ddint see much of a plan it was kinda line it up and go but against mccallie it sounded like a solid plan and i am sure from now on there will be i would like for us to throw the ball more than 3 times but the game plan worked so it is hard to argue with

Again this is not a region game or a playoff game you hate GIVING one away but in the end it doesnt hurt you in achieving the ultimate goal

I'm consistent. I did speak to Ed Foster socially. We weren't somewhere you couldn't have an in depth discussion of the dynamics of puplic and private schools (wedding reception). He said "Ooltewah had plenty of good quality public schools on their schedule". So, there you have it - Ooltewah has plenty of good quality public..........

 

450 yards rushing was the result on an industrial sized offensive line, a bunch of good running backs and not much of a passing game. If you were having the success Riverdale was having running, why would you pass which is the question everyone in the stadium was asking after their interception.

Just wanted give it up to the o-lines from both Riverdale and McCallie.

Outstanding game from both units. There cant be 900 yards of total offense without these guys.

For McCallie those young men are: Thomas Green...Josh Bain...Aaron Cook...Nick Yetter...Keith Myatt...Andrew Dann

I wish I could name Riverdale's also cause they were beasts.

Both teams will go far...right behind these young men.

 

 

 

This was the most exciting high school finish that I have ever seen. UT is fortunate to have Coleman as a committment. And yes, that O line is something special.

I wondered why he left. Now I know why he left the Warriors for a smaller program.

How will U Warrior fans fill if Rankin and the little 2A team beats McCallie?

Man if that happens U folks might hang someone on the Murfreesboro town Square.

We were actually underdogs in this game and we prob should have come away with a victory, but its in the past and its time to move on.

This game was a pickem on this thread and every paper Ive seen and Im not sure last night changed peoples mind about their team. Both teams had alot of positives to point at and have a few negatives to address. Thats why they will be better for having played this "meaningless" game. When they are put in similar situations against teams that count toward their ultimate goal they hopefully will react in a positive way. Good luck to both teams and thank you for not ducking top notch competition.

Well, since Alcoa and McCallie have virtually the same enrollment in grades 9-12, I don't think anyone will feel bad at all. You brought this up on an earlier post. By your tone you seem to think that Alcoa is this poor little 2A school that gets beat up on.
