Although I partaked in some of the CC coach bashing earlier in this thread - I feeling slightly uncomfortable with continuing it. However, I'd be curious to hear from one of his past players, maybe 4-6 years detached. Oftentimes, an assessment from a player that has matured and has some time to reflect on a coach will tell you more about the coaches character, integrity, etc. and what the coah had instilled in them. Many times thier assessment will tell you more than any present player, paretn or fan can ever hope too. The legacy a coach leaves with his players is what's most important. Hope CC's coaches fully and completley understand the important role thay have in these young men's lives.

Coffie Co. is the real deal.

Nope. Cookeville's going to win the state title! Except they have to make it past the first round--not easy since they couldn't even get past the #4 seed from 4-5A this past Friday night.

Hey, Mr. Heisman, you going to Murfreesboro Thursday night to watch Tennessee Tech get drilled 63-0 or worse by Middle Tennessee?

First time I read this string was this morning. Looks like some unrest in CC.

I'm not a Coach Price fan or support his antics.

But I will say this, no one wants to win more than he does. Price is a tireless worker and puts alot of time and effort into the CC program. On Friday nights, he likes to take chances and will roll the dice. This is his style. It needs to be decided if his style is what CC needs to improve in the future years.

He has been at CC long enough for everyone to know what he is about and how he leads and performs on the practice field and in games.

Maybe the expectations were too high to begin with. The fustration of being

1-3 at this point in the season is creating turmoil. Hope it does not filter down to the team. CC has lost the last two weeks to two teams that are better football teams than CC like it or not.

Put it behind and move forward.

Alot of football still to be played, regroup, support your team and see what happens.

Good points. Good Advice irecnso!

I leave this thread with a quote from an unkown author. At times it has served me well through the years. It reads: "By your own soul learn to live, and if men thwart you take no heed. If men hate you , have no care. Sing your song, dream your dream, hope your hope and pray your prayer"

Lastly, I sincerley hope CC has a great season and it's a rewarding experience to all the players, coaches and others involved.

should win 5 games

you are in a terrible weak region, shoudl get 3 wins and you have a win against Shelbyville, who has not won a game. Odds are against you in the Overon, Baylor and Linccoln Co game. Good luck....I don't like to see the folks who praised Price want him out. He is the dame coach he was when Major introduced him.

I only recall one significant drive - the opening one. And that was because they lost their co-captain linebacker on the first play and were scrambling to make adjustments.

I won't be too harsh on their coaches in this forum - but they have some work to do all the way around. Some of them had their hats on backwards as they inspected the field before the game. That alone sent a strong message to me on what their all about. But maybe I'm not "hip".

Obvioulsy I still havent' convinced you on the defense but I will before the year's out. However, what do you think about thier offense? For me I've seen alot of HS football and Barnes and his recievers are the best I have ever seen (although I know theres better - but I personally have never them). I saw Emitt Smith play HS football - so I'll probably never be able to say I've seen a better runningback/running game.

Speaking of - If T-Town holds Maplewood to 14 points or less will you then say T-Town has a good D?

T-Town is not going to hold Maplewood to 14 of anything.

T-Town's D is about to get a wake up call.

Once again Maplewood is no Coffee. Co!!

Fact Stat Break

Thats some good fishing down there at Tims Ford.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
