:thumb: Well the posting for Clinton and Halls were so much fun just thought this would give us something to at work this week. There will be no predictions here. Don't get on here and tell us how young THIS team is because it obviously didn't matter how young Halls was. (By the way what do they feed those kids.....).

Still a Die Hard Dragon Fan. (There's no where to go but up...sooner or LATER!)

The winner of this game earns the priviledge of finishing 7th in the region. The loser will finish dead last. Lenoir City has been a big disappointment this year. Considering they lost to Campbell County and Clinton trounced the Cougars, I'm picking Clinton in a close game. However, after getting pounded by SD, Clinton hasn't scored a point, and I'm convinced that this Dragon team is no different from Clinton teams from the past few seasons. LC had one of their better performances against West on Friday, so anything goes.

It is so sad that the guys at Clinton and the entire city pride have been brought down by this horrible football program. I want you Clinton fans to point out where the improvements have been over the past three years? Name them? Do you guys want to win football games or sing the praises of one of your own who continues to fail? I don't get it. Lenior City will win this one and Clinton will finish 1-9 again this season. A program can be turned around quicker than three years. It's not like every team doesn't change players every three years anyway. It's high school not the pro's. Kids come and go at all schools but at Clinton you must need several generations to improve. I think Coach S needs to send a gift to the Campbell County coach for keeping his record just above Coach Cattlet's final mark. Open your eyes and see that 1-9 isn't improvement but the same old same old.

Clinton will win this one. Stick behind your Coach and you guys will get it done That Hazlehurst boy has been the only kid to catch Dayton this year when he had the ball in his hands. You had to many dropped balls which could have made a huge difference. Good luck to the dragons.

WHILE SHATTUCK HAS BEEN THERE FOR 3 YEARS THIS IS THE FIRST YEAR THAT HE HAS HAD THE STAFF THAT HE PICKED, THEY ARE ALSO VERY YOUNG AND AREN'T SEASONED COACHES. WHILE I THINK THERE ARE THINGS THAT COULD BE DONE DIFFERENTLY I STAND BEHIND THE PROGRAM. THERE HAS BEEN IMPROVMENTS IN MANY AREAS (PRACTICE FIELD, IMPROVMENTS ARE IN WORKS FOR THE STATIUM, ETC..) THE KIDS HAVE CHANGED AND SO HAVE ATTITUDES AND CHARACTER. THESE KIDS WORK VERY HARD FOR YOU TO IMPLY THAT IT'S THE LACK OF TALENT IS SAD. YOU ARE PROBABLY ONE OF THOSE PRO FOOTBALL FANS THAT CHANGES TEAMS BASED ON RECORD ALONE, NO LOYALTY?

How many excuses are we going to make for a coach that has won three games. I have a feeling that it was never the assistant coaches, those coaches have won many games at Clinton High School over the years. We get new coaches, and you have faith and confidence in them being dedicated to the program? First call they get, they are gone. You say they are inexperienced, I say they lack class. Have you heard how the kids are talked to over there? I have never heard such foul language. That is why they have their only D-1 prospect quit because he was disrespected. A lot of kids are saying they are not playing next year because they don't like to be cussed at, talked down to, etc. Say what you want but these are still high school kids. What are they being taught? Accept losing and belittle others?

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
