I have stayed away from this as long as I can, but weather will not dictate the score. Bounder, go to sleep and rest up for the tailgate. Senior night is not what I expected about three years ago! Thank God it will be over soon. I really feel for the younger guys who have had to endure the FEELING OUT PROCESS! I hope I am wrong, but I doubt it! :thumb:

My pick is that I don't really have one.

Oak Ridge has home field advantage, and the field will most likely be wet enough to at least hurt Ooltewah's speed. Plus, they need to win much more, and a team with some talent in a a must win situation can usually win. See: Tennesse V. Cal(win set tone for whole year) and Pittsburgh v. Kansas City(lose and you're not defending your super bowl).

Ooltewah has a great rush defense. I think WB was the only team to have a 100 yard back, everyone else just got stuffed. Pass defense has likely been concentrated upon all week, and Oak Ridge isn't playing starters there, but speed could become a factor. Offense should be fine. Sean Sanders and Kwan Buchanon can pound it up the middle if cutting is impossible, and if the turf is decent, Brian Marshall can get tough yards and use his speed. Throwing has proved to be fairly reliable all year when needed.

On paper, looks like an Ooltewah win. But Oak Ridge really does need the game to make the playoffs. I'll take Ooltewah 33-17 because it'll either be Ooltewah winning comfortably or Oak Ridge in a squeaker.

Oak Ridge needs to find it's rhythm tonight and overcome the odds. Seniors need to step up when they haven't all year, O-line blocking needs to get to linebackers and give qb time, defense needs to stay strong and not give up the big play, Qb needs a solid performance, and the kicking game needs to be sound.

Otherwise, Oooltewah will win. Too close to predict...

Thank you, we do try to be balanced in our braodcast. You can hear the game on Oakridgesports.com or on our main site, Prepradio.com. We come on around 6:30 pm but the pregame is very Oak Ridge heavy with coach interviews but they have nothing but praise and respect for Ooltewah.

Thank you for the info, look forward to a great game.

    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
